What is Mark Price? 📊
Yesterday, we talked about Cross Margin vs Isolated Margin.
But when trading futures, there’s another price you need to understand:
Mark Price.
The price you see moving on the chart is usually the Last Traded Price — the price of the most recent trade.
Mark Price is different.
It’s designed to represent a fairer market price using broader market data rather than relying only on the latest trade on the exchange.
በቀላሉ — Mark Price የpositionህን liquidation risk ለመወሰን የሚጠቀሙበት reference price ነው።
On Bybit, Mark Price plays an important role in liquidation and unrealized P&L calculations.
That’s why sometimes the chart may appear not to have reached your liquidation price, but your position can still be liquidated — because the Mark Price did. ⚠️

Cross Margin vs Isolated Margin 🔐
Yesterday, we talked about Liquidation.
But in crypto futures, how your margin is used depends on your margin mode.
🔒 Isolated Margin
Only the margin allocated to that position is used.
በቀላሉ — trade ላይ ያስገባኸው margin ከቀሪው balanceህ ተለይቶ ይቆያል።
🔗 Cross Margin
Your available margin can be shared across positions.
This can help keep a losing position open longer, but it may also expose more of your account balance.

🔗 Cross = Margin shared
But what price actually determines when liquidation happens? 👀
