Dear Students, The University of Westminster updated its 2026/2027 academic calendar and WIUT adjusted its teaching and reassessment schedule accordingly. Please read the changes below carefully, as they may affect your assessment plans, academic progression and graduation timeline. 📊 1. Semester One Results Under the revised arrangements, the Subject Area Board will take place at the end of January 2027 to review and officially approve Semester One results. Following the Board’s approval, official Semester One results will be made available to students during the first week of February 2027. 📅 2. Semester One reassessments are moving to the April 2026/2027 academic year Previously held in June, they will now take place 19-30 April 2027 (Semester Two assessment period) They will run alongside your regular Semester Two exams and assessments and will be published along with Semester Two results This applies to anyone resitting a Semester One module, whether you failed it, missed an assessment or had approved mitigating circumstances (MC) ⚠️ This is your only chance There will be no summer reassessments for Semester One modules If you do not complete your reassessment during the Semester Two assessment period, you will have to retake the module in the next academic year This could affect your progression to the next level or your graduation date ☀️ 3. Summer reassessments now have a narrower scope The summer reassessment period will continue, but only for: ✔️ Semester Two modules ✔️ Year-long modules ❌ Semester One modules will not be reassessed in summer 🗂 Quick summary Semester One module reassessments ➡️ 19-30 April 2027 Semester Two module reassessments ➡️ June (no change) Year-long module reassessments ➡️ June (no change) ✅ What you should do now 🔍 Check your Semester One results as soon as they are released 🗓 Keep 19-30 April 2027 free: avoid travel, work shifts, or other commitments 📚 Start preparing early, since you may have exams and reassessments in the same two weeks 👩‍🏫 Speak to your module leader or personal tutor if you are unsure what you need to retake 📬 Watch your university email and official channels for the detailed timetable and further updates ❓ Have questions? 📢 MID-TERM EXAMS: DON’T FORGET YOUR STUDENT ID CARD! Dear students, 📅 As the Mid-term assessments are approaching, we would like to remind you about the importance of your Student ID card for the exams. 🪪 Your Student ID card is compulsory for entering all mid-term exams at WIUT. It confirms your identity and allows you to sit the assessment without delays. ✅ No ID = No exam entry If you forget your ID at home or have lost it at the day of assessment, you must immediately: 📍 Go to the Academic Registrar’s Office 📍 Location: ATB Building, Room 104 📍 Request a Temporary Proof of Study ⚠️ Note: This document can be issued only once per academic year and is valid for one exam session only. 📚✅ Plan ahead, keep your ID with you, and avoid last-minute stress. 📢 NOTICE TO WIUT MALE STUDENTS Have you been called for mandatory military service while you are still studying? Don’t worry! WIUT provides a military form that students can use to request a postponement of their compulsory military service for the duration of their studies. 📄 How to Request the Military Form Please refer to the attached poster for detailed instructions on how to submit your request. ⚠️ Important reminder When completing the request, pay special attention to the “Requested by” field (the recipient of the request).
