West Bengal STF arrested an Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) operative, Hamid Mondal from a Housing complex in Burdwan. he was associated with the Sajjad Bhat module of the Pakistan-based terror outfit Jaish-e-Mohammed. he is suspected of involvement in a conspiracy to plot to attack the Chief Minister of West Bengal. The arrest followed a special STF operation based on intelligence inputs. Security agencies are investigating the extent of the terror network and whether others were involved. Hamid Mondal is scheduled to be produced before a court today, where the STF is expected to seek custody for further interrogation.
