What if the barrier to coding wasn't your intelligence but the language itself?
Every major programming language in the world Python, Java, JavaScript, C++ was built assuming you speak English.
Introducing Alphabet - a fully compiled programming language with its own lexer, parser, compiler, and bytecode virtual machine
Current Version of Alphabet:
✓ Native C++ Engine: High-performance C++ VM replaces the Python interpreter
✓ 100x Faster: Instant startup and execution versus the v1.0 prototype
✓ 80% Less Memory: Fixed-size stack eliminates Python's memory overhead
✓ Zero-Copy Lexing: Directly parses source code without unnecessary memory copies
✓ Direct FFI: Natively link and call external C/C++ libraries
✓ Static Type Safety: Catches logic and type errors at compile-time
✓ Integrated LSP: Real-time error highlighting and autocompletion for VS Code
✓ Single Binary: Runs as a standalone native app without a Python environment

this platform is created by one of the earliest A2SVians who is now a senior software engineer at Google. it's called Habeshans corner. it's aim is sharing opportunities like jobs, scholarships, internships and mentorships in the habesha community around the world. it's just getting started, but it could go on to be something big. join the corner, share it with in your circle.
@bakacodes
For sure, in the coming years, prompt engineering will be the most necessary skill in the tech industry.

ClearPath 1.0 is a reflection app inspired by CBT to help users slow down and process difficult moments.
It includes features like mood check-ins, journaling, and learning sections, all with a focus on privacy and a calming interface.
The app is not a substitute for therapy but a tool to support healthier reflection.
You can download the APK at https://clearpath-promo.vercel.app/.

Repost from The Chill Coding Lounge
ClearPath 1.0 is officially here ✨
Over the past few weeks, I’ve been building a CBT-inspired reflection app focused on helping people slow down, organize their thoughts, and reflect in a calmer way when life feels overwhelming. With May being Mental Health Awareness Month, I wanted to build something meaningful that could positively impact people, even in small ways.
So, the idea behind ClearPath is simple:
Sometimes you don’t need more noise, bur rather just need a space to pause and process what’s happening.
The app includes:
• guided CBT-style reflection for difficult moments
• mood & energy check-ins
• daily CBT practice exercises
• a personal journal to notice patterns over time
• short learning sections about CBT
• calming themes, quotes, and a gentle interface
• local-first storage for privacy
ClearPath is not meant to be a form of therapy, medical care, diagnosis, or crisis support. It’s meant to be a supportive companion alongside therapy, or simply a personal tool for practicing healthier reflection habits in everyday life.
This is version 1.0, so there’s still a lot I want to improve, but I’m genuinely proud that I saw this project through.
You can check it out here and download the APK (Sorry IOS users😭): https://clearpath-promo.vercel.app/
Would genuinely love feedback from anyone who tries it ❤️
(EDIT: The logo is a placeholder for now, I'm gonna ask someone from the community to create an authentic one soon😂)
I think X(twitter) has more views with videos than just pictured posts. Eski any motion graphics designers dm @Yostina Abera. or if you know any send this post to them. let's collab. your girl needs your support🫶

Repost from Po codes
Hey amazing peeps 👋
I finally wanted to share something I’ve been building for months.
When IShowSpeed came to Ethiopia, many of us enjoyed the tour, the energy, and the crazy moments.
But one moment stayed with me differently.
You definitely remember the guy “Ethiopian IShowSpeed.” He got a rare chance to be around one of the biggest streamers in the world. For many people, that kind of moment could open doors.
But there was one painful problem:
He could not communicate confidently in English.
I’m not saying this to make fun of him. It made me think about a much bigger problem:
How many opportunities do young Ethiopians lose because they cannot express themselves in English?
A lot of students understand English when they read it.
A lot of people can pass exams.
A lot of people know grammar rules.
But when it is time to speak, we freeze.
-Fear.
-No exposure.
-No safe place to practice.
-Fear of making mistakes.
-Fear of being laughed at.
I understand this personally too. I am a 3rd year university student, and for a long time, presentations and public speaking were painful for me. Not because I had no ideas, but because expressing those ideas confidently in English was hard.
So I started building something.
Introducing Voxa 🚀
Voxa is an AI-powered English learning platform designed for Ethiopian learners.
The goal is simple:
Speak English without fear.
Voxa is not just another chatbot. It connects the real things learners need:
• Speaking practice
• Mistake correction
• Structured lessons
• Speaking drills
• Reading books with AI
• Personalized review
• Progress tracking
• Amharic and Afaan Oromo support
With Voxa, learners can practice English speaking with AI, get gentle corrections, and turn mistakes into review so they do not forget them.
If the internet is weak, Voxa also has recorded voice practice. You can record your answer, Voxa transcribes it, replies, corrects you, and even lets you play the AI reply aloud.
Another big part of Voxa is reading.
During my research, I noticed that many people want to read books, PDFs, and learning materials, but struggle to understand them deeply or connect reading with speaking.
So I built Saba, the AI reading companion inside Voxa.
With Saba, you can upload a PDF or book and:
• understand pages with AI
• summarize ideas
• explain selected text
• save vocabulary, phrases, and key ideas
• create review items
• choose from 4 different reading themes
• listen to reading audio
• practice reading aloud
• turn what you read into speaking practice
Voxa also has a Reading Notebook where everything you save from books becomes organized: key ideas, vocabulary, phrases, comprehension notes, and speaking prompts.
The bigger vision is this:
Speak → get corrected → review your mistake → learn the pattern → read better → speak about what you read → track your growth.
That is Voxa.
It is not perfect, and I am still improving it, but it is real.
English should not be the reason talented students miss opportunities.
Some of the technologies/features behind Voxa include AI chat, speech-to-text, text-to-speech, PDF reading, voice practice, personalized review, progress intelligence, and multilingual support for Amharic and Afaan Oromo.

Today I visited ዘውዲቱ መሸሻ የሕፃናት እና ቤተሰብ የበጎ አድራጎት እና ልማት ማህበር and honestly, it was one of the warmest days I’ve had in a while. 🤍
Played football, sang songs, went on the merry-go-round, and spent time with the most lovely kids. It really brought out my inner child. They don’t ask for much just love, time, and care.
Anyone can visit and support them. There’s no fee, just humanity. You can help by tutoring, playing, or simply spending time with the kids. Your presence alone means a lot.
