| 11 | i wanted to address smt about tonights extended bids bc honestly i felt really wronged and upset when i saw those comments and i hope you guys can understand where im coming from!
firstly im really sorry for extending the bids and keeping everyone up so late on a sunday night 😭 i know some of you have been waiting for the bids to end, and im genuinely sorry for the inconvenience caused
i just wanna clarify that i didnt extend the bids bc i wasnt happy w the prices or wanted to earn more money. i had to extend my work today due to unforeseen circumstances and that was genuinely the reason why 😭
those who have been following 2Dollas for a long time would know that i dont usually do this. ive only had to extend bids once or twice when something came up last minute so it honestly felt really unfair to see people assuming that i was doing this just because the bids weren’t high enough for me. i felt really wronged because that was never my intention at all 🥹
i also want you guys to know that ending bids isnt as simple as just waiting for the clock to hit 8pm and closing everything!!! every drop i have to sit down and go thru all the bids esp towards the end when everyone starts bidding at the same time. sometimes telegram comments lag or dont show up immediately, and i really dont want anyone to lose an item they wanted just because their bid didnt appear in time…!
thats why i always take the time to check the previous bids and bump them properly. i usually need at least 15 minutes after the scheduled end time to go through everything but depending on how many ongoing bids there are, it can sometimes take up to an hour! so even if bids are supposed to end at 8pm, i might only finish everything around 9pm. on top of that, some of you pm me last minute asking for help w bidding and i always try my best to help wherever i can.
for tonight, my partner was the one helping me bump all the bids while i was at work. my work doesnt allow me to use my phone so i had to sneak around just to check on things whenever i could 😭 i was really trying my best to make sure everything was handled properly despite not being able to use my phone freely
im not saying all this to make excuses for myself, but i just hope you guys can understand that theres a lot going on behind the scenes that you might not see. i spend so much time curating pieces, taking pictures, measuring everything, posting, replying to messages and making sure the bids are handled fairly. i genuinely try my best to make sure everyone gets a fair chance at the items they want
and honestly those who know me would know that i dont really care that much about profit. (i dont even count every drop) even if i don't make a profit, im still happy as long as i get to curate cute items for you guys because this has always been my passion and hobby 🥹🤍 i genuinely enjoy finding nice pieces and sharing them w everyone here and seeing you guys get excited over the items makes me happy too :D thats what makes running 2Dollas so enjoyable for me in the first place. of course making money is nice but it has never been the only reason i do this so it really hurts to see people assuming that im deliberately dragging bids out just to earn more money when thats honestly never been my intention.
i understand that the extension was inconvenient for everyone and im really sorry about that. but at the same time i hope you guys can understand why those comments made me feel so upset and wronged. it hurts to put so much time and effort into running this channel, only to have people assume the worst when something unexpected happens. i know i cant please everyone but i really do try my best for this channel and everyone in it
