📝 Dr. Eyad Qunaibi: "The Symbols of Islam Shall be Renounced..." The entire world was sinking in darkness in the matters of ʿaqīdah (creedal beliefs) and civilization, at the time when Islam came. Then the world borrowed the light of the civilization which emanated from the light of Islam. Then when the days passed by, and the Muslims turned away from the light of their religion, they ended up with no ʿaqīdah and no civilization. At this time a generation from amongst the Muslims grew up feeling impressed by this “borrowed light” (those things the non-Muslims learned from the early Muslims), and they thought that it was original! And they thought that Islam had no merits and that it did not add anything new for humanity! So they looked down upon the religion of their forefathers (Islam).
