To take advantage of its location, the façade is adorned with translucent, textured #glass fins. With their gently curved edges, these responsibly recycled and locally manufactured fins give the façade an elegant, fluid form. In order to design this shape, MVRDV took cues from the Bone Cuff bracelet by Elsa Peretti. At night, the naturally #teal-toned glass is illuminated in Tiffany & Co.’s iconic Tiffany Blue colour, giving the store a soft, diffuse glow. As a result, Vancouver House emerges subtly from the ground and expands as it rises, granting visual access to the breadth of Vancouver's natural surroundings.
