Americans having their discourse that "Americans cannot protest like the French" is amusing since Americans can very much do it. Over 6 years ago it happened on a massively smaller scale during the Black Lives Matter movement. And every liberal panicked and lost their minds over the slightest bit of property damage. Americans hate the idea of a disruptive protest. They hate the act that forces the world to look. They hate the idea to throw a punch toward the status quo. They want a convenient, orderly, and easily ignored protest. But then cry when no progressive effort happens with their government.
