Compromise means the dilution, degradation, and bastardization of your principles. What do I mean by this? For example: 50 years ago, homosexuality was barely accepted in the western world. But, they kept reaching small agreements to appease the vocal minority who supported gay rights. People wanted to proliferate the belief of "Live and let live" which seemed innocent, but, as you all know, this snowballed into the situation we have today.  It went from "Love is love" to "Bake our cake" to "We're taking your kids away" all within 15 years. Second example: Yasir Qadhi used to be someone who followed the Sunnah, both in terms of 'Aqidah and Fiqh. Although, as time went on - he made a few compromises in 'Aqidah. It always starts small. Then, after awhile, He started to preach "nuances" in relation to disagreements in 'Aqidah, soon after that he started attending secular universities to  learn Islam. Then he eventually became an apostate by way of his corrupt creed. Third example: A lot of ikhwani movements started out as pure, monotheist, Islamic groups.  Then, since they desired political power, they compromised on their religion - and entered into Democratic elections, disbelieving and spreading disbelief. Thus, they compromised on their creed, which lead them to compromise even more as time went on. In order to get the majority's support, they started to ignore differences between Asha'ris and Atharis, and then furthermore they began to accept Zaydis, Ibadis, etc. And then Christians, Jews. The best place for a woman is her home 'Abdullah ibn Mas'ood (may Allaah be pleased with him) said:

Women are ‘Awrah. When a woman leaves her house, Satan welcomes her and says: You will not go to anyone unless they will be interested in you. The woman puts on her clothes and is asked: "Where do you want to go?" She says: "I visit a patient, or attend a funeral, or pray in the masjid.” And by Allah, a woman has not worshiped her Lord as she worships in her home.
