So, the channel’s hitting its 3 year mark in May, and after all this time, I’ve hit a creative wall. After such a long hiatus, I think I’m ready to start creating again, though I’m not 100% sure what that’ll look like yet. I thought about starting a new TikTok, but it seems like they’ve completely killed the photo-based accounts. I’ll probably stick to posting artist illustrations as wallpapers and maybe some of my old wallpaper designs. I subscribed to Generative Fill for a month, and if I see the engagement growing, the anime wallpapers will return. If things stay the same, then I guess it’s just not meant to be. Hi everyone! 👋🏼 I’ve successfully finished 6 rounds of chemotherapy, and now I just need to go through some check-ups to make sure everything’s really okay 🥳 Sorry I disappeared for a while and stopped keeping you updated, and also for not replying to many of you in chat - I just didn’t have the energy to do anything. The last 3 rounds really hit me hard both physically and mentally, especially the fourth and fifth ones, which were absolutely excruciating. But thankfully, I made it through, and I’m so happy! If the check-ups show that things are ok, all I’ll need moving forward is maintenance therapy - basically just pills and vitamins. I’m endlessly grateful to everyone who sent me kind words and checked in on me. It truly means a lot. Please take care of yourselves and your loved ones! 💙☺️ Now, I’d like to talk a bit about the channel and my other socials. While I was in the hospital, I had a lot of time to think about what I actually want to do next… and honestly, I still don’t have a clear answer. On one hand, I really love doing what I do right now, but on the other hand, the activity and engagement just aren’t what they used to be, and that huge wave of motivation is gone. Fewer new people are joining, and the channel feels like it’s slowly fading. As you know, most of my audience came from TikTok, but I’ve been shadowbanned there for almost a year now. After the third time it happened, I just accepted it. I tried branching out into Twitter -posting manga cleans, coloring, even some drawing attempts - but so far, no real success. It almost feels like everything is hinting at: “Dude, this isn’t working, maybe it’s time to stop.” But hey, we’re strong people, right? So, we’re not giving up - we’ll keep going till the end. Now for a slightly awkward topic - donations. The channel is already in its third year, and as many of you know, I’ve never done ads or asked for donations. I never even raised the subject, even though some people offered financial support - I always turned it down. For me, everything I’ve done here has been more of a hobby, and I felt it wouldn’t be right to ask money for it. Even though I was spending my own money on it (like paying for the Photoshop Generative Fill subscription I used to make anime wallpapers). When it started hitting my wallet too hard, I had to stop, and instead I began posting other people’s art as wallpapers. But monetizing someone else’s work never sat right with me. Of course, some might say it’s not a big deal, but for me it was. However, after everything I’ve been through recently - which took a toll not just on my health but also on my finances - I’ve decided it’s time to finally bring this up. How would you feel if I added an option for donations in the group? The feature would be directly in Telegram via Tribute. I’d really like to hear your honest thoughts on this - it’s important to me. And if you’re okay with it, I might also consider doing commissions. Things like custom wallpapers or frames (1:1, 3:4) based on specific manga/manhwa or anime, personalized wallpapers for your devices, redrawing or cleaning specific manga panels (I post some of those on Twitter - check them out if you’re interested). I’d be super happy to read your feedback and ideas about this!
