They can't just click buy like a retail trader. They need liquidity. Large pools of orders sitting in the market to fill their positions against. Where are those pools found? Above swing highs. Below swing lows. Behind obvious levels where retail traders cluster their stop losses. This is why you often see price spike through a level, take out all the stops sitting there and then reverse sharply in the opposite direction. That wasn't random.
