Can the army become 100% de-colonised ? The answer is a straight No. Why : The backbone of the army is based on the regimental systems which have their origins in British era, The cantonments which operates like a mini-military zones for personnel and families are also british origin, the practices like President's toasts (earlier king's or queen's toast) is still in military mess atiquites, the beating retreat is another example.
