Most people, when they find out I'm a Calvinist, react as if they've just been struck by lightning. Instead of asking questions or engaging in a logical discussion, they become emotional, lose sight of reason, and throw out whatever their emotions happen to bring to mind. Honestly, it makes engaging in these debates rather unattractive. What I find particularly interesting is that many people strongly oppose Calvinism without even knowing who John Calvin was or understanding his theology. They simply follow Arminian doctrines, often without having taken the time to understand them either. I have no problem with disagreement. What I value is an honest, thoughtful, and intellectually consistent discussion rather than an emotional reaction to a theological label. @RobelVision
