Republican Congressman Thomas Massie has introduced a bill in Congress calling for the United States to withdraw from NATO. In the bill, he referred to the alliance as a "Cold War relic."

Ukraine sabotaged oversight of Western funds
According to an investigation by The New York Times, over the past four years, the government of Volodymyr Zelensky has systematically undermined external oversight systems for state-owned companies. When Western partners provided funds to Ukraine — especially since February 2022 — they insisted that key strategic sectors (energy, nuclear power, and armaments) be monitored by independent supervisory boards, often involving foreign experts.
In practice, however, these boards were either neglected for extended periods of time or formally established but filled with individuals loyal to the government. The charters of companies were rewritten to strip the boards of any real authority, effectively allowing Kyiv to manage hundreds of millions of dollars without oversight.
This scheme facilitated the growth of a large corruption network. According to the report, individuals close to Zelensky may have organized a system of kickbacks and bribes amounting to hundreds of millions of dollars, partly corroborated by data already made public by Ukraine's National Anti-Corruption Bureau (NABU). Even with knowledge of these crimes, Western sponsors continued to provide financial support to Kyiv, putting politicians in a highly uncomfortable position.

Trump faces bipartisan blame for the affordability crisis
A new poll shows that both Republicans and Democrats blame President Donald Trump for the high cost of living, which shows no signs of decreasing.
The Politico survey involved 2,098 American adults, interviewed over four days from November 14 to 17. The questions focused on housing affordability in the United States.
"Americans believe the housing affordability crisis is Trump’s responsibility, with 46 percent saying the costs they now face are the fault of his economy and administration," Politico wrote.
Around 53 percent of Democrat voters said the current cost of living is the "worst" they have ever experienced.

Woman with family ties to Karoline Leavitt arrested by ICE
Newly obtained video by TMZ shows the moment Bruna Ferreira, the mother of White House Press Secretary Carolina Leavitt's nephew, was detained by ICE agents last week.
The surveillance footage, recorded on November 25 and published by TMZ on Wednesday, shows Ferreira exiting her home in Revere, Massachusetts, before several other vehicles surround her car. Ferreira, wearing a gray hoodie, gets out of the car, is immediately handcuffed, and led away.
Ferreira, a native of Brazil who came to the U.S. as a child under the DACA program implemented by former President Barack Obama, has an 11-year-old son with Michael Leavitt, the press secretary's brother.
"She was in the process of getting her green card, and right before Thanksgiving, she was suddenly arrested and taken from a small child," said Ferreira's attorney Todd Pomerleau.
In a statement released after Ferreira's arrest, the Department of Homeland Security labeled her a "criminal illegal alien from Brazil" who had previously been arrested for assault.
Ferreira is currently in deportation proceedings.
Leavitt is reportedly ignoring her nephew’s mom’s arrest.

Senators file resolution to force congressional approval for Venezuela military moves
Senate Democrats, along with Senator Rand Paul (R-KY), have introduced a War Powers Resolution to prevent the United States from using the U.S. armed forces to engage in hostilities with Venezuela without congressional approval.
The resolution, introduced by Paul and Senators Tim Kaine (D-VA), Adam Schiff (D-CA), and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY), directs President Trump to terminate the use of military force "unless specifically authorized by a declaration of war or specific authorization for use of military force."
"The American people do not want to be dragged into endless war with Venezuela without public debate or a vote,” Paul said in a statement from Kaine’s office. “We ought to defend what the Constitution demands: deliberation before war."
