The Refiner’s Fire

"But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you" ~ Matthew 6:33 Jesus emphasized that the Kingdom of God is a matter of profound inward spiritual reality Rather than a visible or worldly territory Here are the key aspects of His teaching on the kingdom Jesus taught the Pharisees... "For indeed, the kingdom of God is within you" ~ Luke 17:21 Jesus taught that the kingdom is not just a future destination But something actively breaking into the present world His personal presence and the indwelling of the Holy Spirit It operates in the hearts and lives of those who surrender to God's will Standing before Pilate Jesus declared... ~ John 18:36 "My kingdom is not of this world. If My kingdom were of this world, My servants would fight... but now My kingdom is not from here." His kingdom is rooted in spiritual authority, truth, and love Jesus made it clear that a spiritual transformation is mandatory to be part of His kingdom "Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God" ~ John 3:5 Advancing a full Gospel moves believers beyond just the "get-out-of-jail-free" It calls the Church to live as active agents of transformation Living the full Gospel requires a clear understanding of what Jesus taught Which bridges the gap between Justification (eternal security) & Sanctification (daily transformation) The Gospel of the Kingdom Primary Message "Jesus is your Savior" "Jesus is Lord of your whole life" Securing heaven & Advancing God’s righteous rule and reign on Earth Believing for eternal life Making disciples and transforming communities Personal forgiveness & peace The Call to Discipleship is the full Gospel It's s not passive It's action-oriented Merely receiving eternal life forms the foundation But building upon it requires active commitment to Christ's mission
