It is common for children with anxiety to have co-occurring mental health issues, neurodevelopmental conditions, speech and language problems, and learning difficulties.11 As such, it is essential to assess for possible comorbidities in children with anxiety. **Anxiety can contribute to learning difficulties in several ways. Perseverating over worries can reduce a child’s ability to concentrate in class and affect executive function, including working memory, planning and organisational skills. **Coupled with school avoidance, this can result in young children missing key foundations of learning during the early primary school years. #Anxiety_Comorbidities_Learning_Difficulty
