| 2 | Ukraine begins quoting prices for new-crop corn – APK-Inform
Last week, the Ukrainian feed corn market saw some price declines, according to experts at APK-Inform.
As noted, subdued demand from most buyers, large carryover stocks and the start of the harvest in some regions of the country continued to put pressure on prices. Trading activity remained low throughout the week.
“Some buyers have also started quoting indicative prices for new-crop corn in the range of UAH 6,400-7,200 per ton, excluding delivery costs,” the agency said.
Overall, bid prices for feed corn ranged from UAH 6,700 to 8,500 per ton CPT during the week. At Ukrainian ports, prices for the grain fell by another $2-5 per ton and were in the range of $173-180 per ton CPT port.

| 3 | Mixed price trends seen in Ukraine's feed wheat market – APK-Inform
According to experts at APK-Inform, Ukraine saw mixed price trends in the feed wheat segment last week.
As specified, prices mainly increased in the western region of the country due to insufficiently active grain deliveries.
“Prices for milling wheat remained almost unchanged. Demand from most consumers remained fairly high, but most of them continued to buy wheat in small volumes, without building up large stocks. Flour millers were also in no hurry to purchase raw materials, facing difficulties in selling finished products,” the agency said.
Bid prices for Class 2 and feed wheat during the week stood at UAH 6,400-8,100 per ton and UAH 5,300-7,500 per ton CPT, respectively.
At Ukrainian ports, prices for milling wheat moved in different directions and were mostly in the range of $167-175 per ton CPT port. Feed wheat prices edged up and settled at $159-165 per ton CPT port.

| 6 | No significant price adjustments in Ukraine’s rapeseed market so far – APK-Inform
There were no significant price adjustments in Ukraine’s domestic rapeseed market last week. APK-Inform experts reported this.
According to them, processors’ bid prices for oilseeds during the week were in the range of UAH 19,500-21,500 per ton CPT.
“Rapeseed processing rates remained quite high in the second half of August, but some plants reported that they had stopped purchasing the oilseed: some enterprises continue to operate using stocks already accumulated, while others are shutting down for scheduled maintenance ahead of the sunflower seed intake,” the statement said.
In the export rapeseed market, prices adjusted within a range of $5-10 per ton under the influence of demand and the availability of alternative routes. At the same time, due to inactive shipments through Danube ports amid shelling, low water levels and queues on the Sulina Canal, bid prices fell to $470-490 per ton CPT-port.

| 14 | Maximum prices for Ukrainian peas declined by more than UAH 2,200 per ton – APK-Inform
According to APK-Inform monitoring, the Ukrainian market has seen a downward trend in both prices and trading activity for the fourth consecutive week. The main reason for this trend is the suspension of sea exports.
“As of the beginning of the day on August 26, export bid prices for peas in Ukraine are mainly in the range of UAH 7,000-11,000 per ton DAP. It should be noted that a month earlier, the corresponding prices were usually quoted at UAH 10,000-13,500 per ton DAP,” the experts note.
On the domestic market, bid prices for pulses are generally in the range of UAH 6,700-8,300 per ton CPT, which is UAH 300 per ton and UAH 2,200 per ton lower, respectively, than the prices quoted a month earlier.

| 16 | Ukrainian wheat continues to gradually decline in price – APK-Inform
Wheat prices on Ukraine’s domestic market continued to gradually decline last week. APK-Inform experts reported this.
“Logistical and export difficulties and the increase in grain supply on the market continued to put pressure on prices. However, some increase in demand from traders and higher prices for food wheat on the export market provided support for prices. Processors continued to actively purchase wheat, but mainly for current needs, without building up large stocks,” the statement said.
According to the report, bid prices for Grade 2 wheat during the week were in the range of UAH 6,400-8,100 per ton CPT and $166-177 per ton CPT-port, while prices for feed wheat were UAH 5,500-7,600 per ton CPT and $156-165 per ton CPT-port, respectively.

| 17 | Sea blockade cut Ukrainian vegetable oil exports in half – Ukroliyaprom
Due to the suspension of sea exports, Ukraine is exporting around 300 thousand tons of vegetable oil per month, only half of the previous volumes. Stepan Kapshuk, director general of the Ukroliyaprom association, gave this estimate in a comment to NV Business.
“In August, sunflower oil exports are running at 5-7 thousand tons per day, with an additional 2-3 thousand tons of rapeseed and soybean oil. In total, around 8 thousand tons per day, or up to 300 thousand tons per month, can be exported. This is half the volumes recorded before the suspension of sea exports,” he said.
According to S. Kapshuk, difficulties with the export of finished oil have become the key reason for the collapse in sunflower seed purchase prices. The market is currently facing difficulties with product deliveries, as well as a noticeable shortage of transportation and storage facilities. However, the head of the association expects these logistical obstacles to be resolved within two to three weeks.
In addition, S. Kapshuk stressed that Ukraine’s oil production could reach 7 million tons by the end of the year. Since the domestic market requires only around 300 thousand tons of this product, there is no threat of a domestic shortage or reason for consumer concern.
“There will be no shortage, people have nothing to panic about,” he concluded.

| 18 | The main factor putting pressure on Ukrainian barley prices remains the blockade of Black Sea ports
According to APK-Inform experts, prices continued to decline in Ukraine’s feed barley market last week.
“Limited operations at Black Sea ports remained a factor putting pressure on prices. Trading and buying activity remained low. Most consumers continued to purchase small volumes of grain, mainly to meet current needs, without building up significant stocks,” they noted.
It was also noted that bid prices for feed barley during the week were mainly in the range of UAH 5,500-6,700 per ton CPT.
At Ukrainian ports, barley prices remained largely unchanged and were in the range of $140-155 per ton CPT-port.
