BLAST DEVOTIONALS 📕✨ Wednesday, 29 July 2026 SOMEONE NEEDS YOUR PRAYERS TODAY 🥹🙏🏾🔥 “Epaphras, who is one of you and a servant of Christ Jesus, sends greetings. He is always wrestling in prayer for you, that you may stand firm in all the will of God, mature and fully assured.” - Colossians 4:12 Have you ever thought about how much your friends mean to you?🤔 You laugh, read, and gist together and, sometimes even cry together.🥺 But there is something even deeper than sharing memories — it is sharing burdens before God. Real friendship is not only measured by the time you spend together, but by the time you spend before God for each other. 🥹🙏🏾 Epaphras understood this. He wasn’t the most famous Apostle. He didn’t write epistles like Paul or perform dramatic miracles like Peter. Yet, his name is forever recorded in Scripture because he was a friend who prayed. He “wrestled” in prayer — not casual, two-second whispers, but deep, passionate, consistent intercession. Imagine having a friend who labors for you that way!🤔🔥🔥 Think about it: • What if your strength in Christ today is the fruit of someone else’s hidden prayers? 🥹 • What if the reason you escaped certain temptations was because a mother, a mentor, or even a friend travailed for you in prayer?😩🔥 • What if your destiny is tied to how faithfully someone else is interceding for you?🥹 Beloved, Christianity is not meant to be a “solo journey.” The Bible says: “Woe to the one who is alone; when he falls, he has no one to lift him up” 😭💔 (Ecclesiastes 4:10). Friends who don’t pray for each other leave each other vulnerable. But friends who stand in the gap become lifelines God can use to preserve destinies. ❤️ Why Pray for Your Friends? 🤔 1. Because battles are real. 😭 Your friends may look strong on the outside, but many are fighting silent wars in their minds, emotions, and faith. Your prayers can cover what their words never reveal. 2. Because the enemy never rests.😩 The devil is described as a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour (1 Peter 5:8). Prayer is how we keep our loved ones protected and shielded. 3. Because prayer changes things.🔥🔥🔥 James 5:16 says, “The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results.” Your words in prayer can open doors for your friends that your advice or encouragement alone cannot. What Happens When You Intercede?🤔 When you labor in prayer like Epaphras: • You partner with God to strengthen the faith of your friends. • You create spiritual covering that the devil cannot penetrate. • You become a channel through which God’s will is birthed in their lives. • You grow closer to God yourself, because intercession enlarges your heart. Be That Friend 👀🙌🏾🔥 It’s easy to gist about your friends, talk about their mistakes, or even laugh at their weaknesses. But God is looking for friends who will talk to Him about their friends more than they talk to others about them. 🗣️🥹🔥 Instead of gossip, choose intercession Instead of criticism, choose prayer. Instead of watching them drift away, choose to stand in the gap. Your prayers may be the difference between their failure and their victory, their confusion and their clarity, their weakness and their strength.💪🏾 PRAYER🙏🏾 Lord, thank You for my friends. I pray that you strengthen their faith, protect their hearts, and align them with Your will. Make me faithful to stand in the gap for them always. In Jesus’ name, Amen. Father, I thank You because You have given me Your Holy Spirit to abide with me forever. Thank You because I am never alone!
