BLAST DEVOTIONALS📕✨ Saturday, 29 August 2026 WHEN HOME HURTS 🥲❤️‍🩹 “But I say to you who hear: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, and pray for those who spitefully use you.” — Luke 6:27–28 (NKJV) Some of the deepest pains in life don’t come from strangers—they come from home.💔 Maybe you’ve tried to explain yourself to your parents, but they just don’t seem to understand. Maybe you feel unheard, constantly compared, or judged by the people you love most.😔 Sometimes it feels like no matter how hard you try, you’re still the “disappointment” in someone’s eyes.🥹 You love them, but you’re tired. You want peace, but the words keep clashing. You want to be seen, not just corrected. And deep down, you wish they could see the effort you’re making.💭 That kind of hurt runs deep. It can make you close your heart and pull away—not just from them, but even from God. But listen, God understands this kind of pain. He’s not blind to your tears or deaf to your silent cries.😭 He knows what it feels like to love and be rejected, to care and still be misunderstood. That’s why His Word doesn’t tell you to ignore your pain—it shows you how to heal through it.🤍 The Bible is full of family stories that were messy and painful. Cain and Abel. Jacob and Esau. Joseph and his brothers. David and Absalom. Families filled with jealousy, betrayal, and heartbreak.🥲 But every story reminds us that God can bring beauty out of brokenness. So what do you do when the people who should love you the most hurt you the most? It begins with forgiveness.🙏🏾 Not because they deserve it—but because you deserve peace. Holding on to bitterness only keeps you stuck. Forgiveness doesn’t mean pretending it didn’t hurt; it means choosing freedom over pain. And you don’t have to do it alone—God gives strength to those who choose His way (Philippians 2:13).💪🏾 Take that pain to God. Don’t suppress it, don’t fake smiles when you’re breaking inside. Talk to Him honestly. Tell Him everything you can’t say out loud.🥹 As you pour your heart out, He’ll pour His peace in. That’s where healing begins (Philippians 4:6–7).✨ Remember Joseph? He was betrayed by his brothers, sold into slavery, and forgotten. Yet when he finally met them again, he forgave.😭 He said, “What you meant for evil, God meant for good” (Genesis 50:20). That’s how powerful forgiveness is—it helps you see that even what broke you can become what God uses to build you.🔥 Dear child of God, family hurt is real. And it’s okay to feel it.🥹 But don’t let it harden your heart. Don’t let it make you bitter or distant from God. You are not a mistake. You are not what they said. You are who God says you are—loved, chosen, seen, and becoming something beautiful through this process.❤️ Let God wrap His love around your wounds. Let Him show you that your healing is possible. Even if things don’t change at home right away, God is changing you from the inside out. His grace is enough.😭 Let Him teach you how to love again—even when it hurts.❤️‍🩹 PRAYER 🙏🏾 Lord, sometimes it feels like my parents don’t understand me, and it hurts.🥹 But I know You see my heart. Give me patience, wisdom, and a gentle spirit.❤️ Help me to respond with love, not anger. Touch their hearts too, Lord — help them see me through Your eyes. Let there be healing, peace, and a new level of understanding in my family. I trust You to turn our pain into purpose.
