| 4 | How Big SpaceX Rockets Really Are? ❔
The Falcon 9 rocket is 230 feet or 70 meters tall. For comparison, this is about as tall as a 21 story building. This rocket is used to launch satellites into geostationary orbit.
The Big Falcon Rocket or BFR is roughly 350 feet or 107 meters tall. This was renamed the SpaceX Starship. The name Starship refers to both the reusable rocket and the cargo / crew capsule. And this is the rocket that can take us to Mars. The rocket by itself may be called the Super Heavy booster.

This video helps us visualize that it's the Earth that rotates, not the sky. We all know that's the case (most of us, anyway), but we don't directly perceive it that way. Eric was able to use a star tracker to stabilize the sky, and drive home the fact that we're all on a giant spinning rock flying through space.

Mercury's surface temperatures are both extremely hot and cold. Because the planet is so close to the Sun, day temperatures can reach highs of 800°F (430°C). Without an atmosphere to retain that heat at night, temperatures can dip as low as -290°F (-180°C).

The Sun has been called by many names. The Latin word for Sun is “sol,” which is the main adjective for all things Sun-related: solar. Helios, the Sun god in ancient Greek mythology, lends his name to many Sun-related terms as well, such as heliosphere and helioseismology.

The Sun could not harbor life as we know it because of its extreme temperatures and radiation. Yet life on Earth is only possible because of the Sun’s light and energy.

Our Sun is a medium-sized star with a radius of about 435,000 miles (700,000 kilometers).
The Sun is about 93 million miles (150 million kilometers) from Earth.
🥷Orbit and Rotation
The Sun is located in the Milky Way galaxy in a spiral arm called the Orion Spur that extends outward from the Sagittarius arm.The Sun orbits the center of the Milky Way, bringing with it the planets, asteroids, comets, and other objects in solar system. Even at this speed, it takes about 230 million years for the Sun to make one complete trip around the Milky Way.

Our solar system has one star, eight planets, five officially recognized dwarf planets, at least 290 moons, more than 1.3 million asteroids, and about 3,900 comets.
It is located in an outer spiral arm of the Milky Way galaxy called the Orion Arm, or Orion Spur. Our solar system orbits the center of the galaxy at about 515,000 mph (828,000 kph). It takes about 230 million years to complete one orbit around the galactic center.
We call it the solar system because it is made up of our star, the Sun, and everything bound to it by gravity – the planets Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune; dwarf planets Pluto, Ceres, Makemake, Haumea, and Eris – along with hundreds of moons; and millions of asteroids, comets, and meteoroids.
Our solar system is the only one we know of that has a planet that supports life. So far, we only know of life on Earth, but we’re looking for life on other worlds.

This year, the International Space Station turned 25 years old. A modular space station, it has now been occupied for over 23 years - a record for the longest continuous human presence in low Earth orbit. Over the years, a total of 273 people have visited the ISS, from 21 different countries. So which nationalities can claim to have visited the space station most frequently? According to NASA data, the vast majority of astronauts that travelled to the ISS so far have been from the U.S. - 165 in total. Russia has the second-highest total at 59 while Japan comes third with 11.
