Welcome to St. Petersburg’s Hermitage Museum! 👑 The State Hermitage Museum is the second-largest art museum in the world and one of the main tourist attractions in Saint Petersburg, Russia 🇷🇺. Located between Neva River and Palace Square it is comprised of several historical buildings, the main of which is the Winter Palace - the former residence of Russian Emperors and Empresses. The art collection of the Hermitage includes almost three million items, including one of the largest collections of Renaissance Italian and Baroque Dutch, Flemish, and French painters, and also archaeological findings from all over the world, Ancient Greek statues, Asian art and numismatic collection. In its halls you can see masterpieces of Leonardo da Vinci, Titian, El Greco, Rembrandt, Caravaggio, Gainsborough and many other world famous artists. ☝️ One estimate has it that you would need eleven years (❗️) to view each exhibit on display for just one minute! However, the Hermitage is more than an art museum. The Winter Palace offers a glimpse into the life at Russian imperial court🤴👸. 🗓On April 26, Saint Petersburg 🇷🇺 hosted the 20th ASEAN-Russia Senior Officials' Meeting (#ARSOM). 🔹️The meeting was co-chaired by the Deputy Foreign Minister of the Russian Federation H.E. Mr. Andrey Rudenko 🇷🇺 and Secretary of State of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Kingdom of Cambodia H.E. Mr. Kung Phoak 🇰🇭. 🔹 Participants discussed ways and means of further promoting the ASEAN-Russia Strategic Partnership in political, economic and humanitarian spheres. They agreed to undertake steps to deepen practical cooperation in such areas as science and technology, energy security, education, people-to-people ties and digitalization. 🔹The meeting reiterated shared intention to jointly address challenges and threats, strengthen ASEAN-led regional security architecture in Asia-Pacific. Issues of promoting cross-platform links between #ASEAN, #EEU and #SCO were also on the agenda. 🔹️On the sidelines of the ARSOM H.E. 🗓 On April 23-24, the 13th ASEAN Regional Forum Open Ended Study Group on Confidence Building Measures to Reduce the Risk of Confict Stemming from the Use of ICTs (13th #ARF OESG) and the 6th ASEAN Regional Forum Inter-Sessional Meeting (#ARF ISM) on ICT Security co-chaired by Russia 🇷🇺 and Indonesia 🇮🇩 was held in Moscow in a hybrid format. 🔹️Delegations of Indonesia 🇮🇩, Singapore 🇸🇬, Thailand 🇹🇭, Cambodia 🇰🇭, the Philippines 🇵🇭, India 🇮🇳 and Bangladesh 🇧🇩 took part in the meeting in person. Chair of the United Nations Open-Ended Working Group on security of and in the use of ICTs 2021-2025, Permanent Representative of the Republic of Singapore to the UN H.E. Mr. Burhanudeen Gafoor 🇸🇬 addressed the gathering with his welcoming speech. 🔹️More than 80 participants discussed future plans and cooperation within the framework of the ARF ISM on ICT Security and considered new initiatives proposed by ARF members. The meeting also exchanged views on cooperation on ICT Security-related issues within the framework of the UN and other international platforms. 🤝 On the sidelines of the events a number of bilateral meetings took place.

🗓 On April 24, the 4th ASEAN-Russia Consultations of the High Representatives for Security Issues were successfully held in Saint Petersburg on the sidelines of the 12th International Meeting of High-Ranking Officials Responsible for Security Matters. 🔹️ The meeting was co-chaired by Secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation H.E. Mr. Nikolai Patrushev 🇷🇺 and Deputy Director General of the General Department of Research and Intelligence, Ministry of National Defence of the Kingdom of Cambodia H.E. Major General Duong Uddam 🇰🇭. 🔹️ High-ranking officials from ASEAN Member States and ASEAN Secretariat attended the meeting. Participants exchanged views on regional security in Asia-Pacific, discussed issues related to the system of strategic stability and arms control. 🔹️ During the meeting Secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation H.E. 📢 More than 150 participants are currently attending RT's biggest international educational project for journalists from #ASEAN. 🟩 Students of RT Academy have the opportunity to learn all stages of TV news production - from pitching a story to newsgathering, reporting and presenting, as well as to get acquainted with the work of newsroom editors, presenters and camera persons. 🟩 Besides that, RT offers live webinars with its top executives, regional representatives, producers, news presenters, correspondents, content creators and social media managers. 🟩 Launched on 1️⃣ April, 2024, RT English-language, international online educational project for journalists is currently being attended by students from all over the Asia-Pacific. Within the framework of the Academy, RT’s international team is conducting master classes and share their expertise with aspiring, beginner, and experienced journalists alike. 🌏 The demographics are quite diverse, with participants' ages ranging from 17 to 68 years. In terms of geography, 65 students come from Indonesia 🇮🇩, 33 from Myanmar 🇲🇲, 8 from Vietnam 🇻🇳, 20 from Malaysia 🇲🇾, 10 from Singapore 🇸🇬, 4 from Thailand 🇹🇭, 1 from Brunei 🇧🇳, 5 are representing the Philippines 🇵🇭, 9 participants are from Cambodia 🇰🇭, 1 from Laos 🇱🇦 and 1 student is from Timor-Leste 🇹🇱.
