As-salamu'alaikum
Here's a brief summary of today’s khutbah:
1. Take a moment to ponder on the signs of aging we see on our parents
- These signs of aging remind us of the fleeting nature of this worldly life
- We must prepare ourselves to provide the best possible care to our aging parents
2. Four practical ways to express our love and genuine concern for our aging parents
- Firstly, Ensure a safe home environment
- Secondly, Nurture their spiritual well-being
- By downloading the Qur’an, selected Hadith and favourite religious lectures on their devices
- Thirdly, Bring the world to them
- Visit them regularly, show our genuine affection, help them reconnect with friends
- Fourthly, Be attentive to their overall well-being

Friday Sunnah Reminders 🤍📿
We all know how special Jumaah (Friday) is in our Deen but we need reminders from time to time to recall the magnanimity of this golden day.
Friday is no average day for Muslims. It has the honor of being called ‘best day of the week’ by the best person to ever exist- Prophet Muhammad ﷺ.
1. Send extra selawat to Rasulullah
Rasulullah ﷺ said :
“The person closest to me on the Day of Resurrection is the one who sent the most Selawat upon me.” 🖤 [ Sunan Al-Tirmidhi 484 ]
2. Read Surah Al-Kahfi
We can read:
A. The first 10 Ayahs of Surah Al-Kahf
B. The last 10 Ayahs of Surah Al-Kahf
C. Both A and B
D. Ideally, the complete Surah Al-Kahf.
The Prophet ﷺ said: “Whoever reads Surah Al-Kahf on Friday, he will be illuminated with light between the two Fridays.” [ Narrated by al-Haakim; Grade Sahih by al-Albaani ]
3. Mandi Jumaat [ Jumaah Shower ]
Abu Sa’id Al-Khudr reports: I testify that Allah’s Messenger said, ‘The taking of a bath on Friday is compulsory for every Muslim who has attained the age of puberty and also cleaning of teeth with Siwak and using perfume, if available’. [ Sahih Bukhari ]
4. Use Fragance & New Piece of Clothings.
“Put on your adornment on every occasion of prayer” [ Surat al-A’raf 7: 31 ]
5. Berdoa to Allah [ Send supplications to Allah ]
6. Trimming your nails
Abu Hurayrah R.A. reported that ‘Five are the demonstrations of fitrah (nature/ instinct): 1. circumcision, 2. evacuating the hair underneath the navel, 3. trimming the mustache, 4. trimming the nails, and 5. culling the hair under the arms.’
7. Make lots of Dua between Asr & Maghrib
“There is a special hour on Friday, during which all prayers are accepted and answered by Allah, all Glory and Praise be to Him. This is part of the blessings that Allah has blessed this day with, over all the other days of the week. “On this day there is a time when no Muslim stands and prays, asking Allah for something, but Allah will grant him it” – and he gestured with his hands to indicate how short that time is. [ Bukhari and Muslim ]
Ibn Al-Qayyim said that this golden hour is to be found in the time after the Asr prayer until the Maghrib Azan (end of day): “Friday has twelve hours (or part of it). There is one hour during which if a Muslim asks Allah anything, Allah will give it to him, so find it during the last hour after Asr.” [ Abu Dawud & An-Nasai ]
Let’s do the virtues of Friday together! insha allah, if you can’t do everything, it’s okayy, don’t leave everything out okay.
may Allah ease your affairs. 🕊

Repost from Safaral Ukhuwwah
In Islam, both men and women are encouraged to lower their gaze to maintain modesty and respect. This means looking away from things that might be inappropriate or tempting, which helps keep interactions respectful and dignified. The Quran advises believers to “lower their gaze and guard their private parts” (Quran 24:30-31), showing that this practice is important for everyone.
Not following this guidance can lead to several negative effects. For instance, it might lead to inappropriate thoughts or actions, potentially straining relationships and creating discomfort. It can also distract you from focusing on more positive and meaningful aspects of life. By lowering the gaze, you not only uphold Islamic values but also contribute to a more respectful environment.

If wealth is lost, we can still regain it through hard work and perseverance.
If health is lost, we can still recover it by taking proper medicine.
But…
if time is lost, it will never return.
We can never turn back the time that has passed,
and the time that is gone will never come back to us.

Have you ever wondered why Allah removes certain people from your life, even when your intentions are sincere towards them?
In time, I’ve come to realise that when your heart is pure, Allah unveils the truth and distances you from those whose intentions are not as genuine as you do. Words may deceive, but actions reveal all. It’s not a loss but it’s divine protection.
Thank Allah swt for that 🌸

If you're young and your deen is your priority, then you are blessed immensely. Don't ever look at others and feel you're missing out. A youth who grew up worshipping Allah will be one of the seven types of people under the shade of Allah on a day where there is no shade but His.

du’a when 🌧️:
اللّهُمَّ صَيِّـباً نافِـعاً
Allahumma shoyibban nafi’a
O Allah, make it a beneficial rain!

Don’t let your past make you believe Allah won’t forgive you.
“Do not despair of the mercy of Allah. Indeed, Allah forgives all sins.” (Surah Az-Zumar 39:53)
Your sin doesn’t define you, your repentance does. The moment you turn back to Allah, He welcomes you with mercy. Let go of the guilt, keep seeking Him. His door was never closed. 🌿

During our hijrah journey, there might be people who talk. They’ll call you “different,” or remind you of who you used to be, but hijrah isn’t about being perfect, it’s about wanting to be better.
“Do not fear and do not grieve, but receive good tidings of Paradise.” (Surah Fussilat 41:30)
Keep walking your path, you’re not doing it for them, you’re doing it for Allah. Every step you take toward Him, He brings you closer to peace.
To those who are going through this right now, may Allah grant you strength, patience, and peace in your journey. You’re doing so well, even if you don’t see it yet. 🤍

Calling your friends out can be difficult, but a true friend would do so because they want to see you succeed not only in this life but the Akhirat as well
May you be surrounded by those that always strive to remind you to do good, they are blessings from Allah that we tend to forget to appreciate until they are taken away from us
Remember, someone being removed from your life isn't always solely for your betterment, it could be in Allah's wisdom that they deserve better too
Platonic love doesn't just come from gifts and hang outs but rather the doas and prayers made for you in secret, if only we knew
