1. What is the Rec List?
A recommendation list gives you priority to stay in the hall you applied for. It has more priority than the point system. However, there is no 100% guarantee that you will get back hall 8, rec list puts you at a much higher chance of getting back.
2. Does Rec List guarantee my room?
Residents in the Rec List will be given priority for a slot in Hall 8. As for the room, the point system applies.
3. What is the point system?
Point system refers to the number of ECA points you got from your contributions to hall/NTU.
When applying for a particular room, the order of priority is:
1. Returning senior with 9 points
2. Non-returning senior with 9 points
3. Returning senior with 7 points
4. Non-returning senior with 7 points
5. Returning senior with 5 points
6. Non-returning senior with 5 points
7. Returning senior with 3 points
8. Non-returning senior with 3 points
9. Returning senior with 1 point
10. Non-returning senior with 1 point
Hence, if you have don’t have high points, it is recommended that you apply for a room that is NOT reserved by someone else with more points.
4. Will the deconflict list guarantee my room?
No, the deconflict list is to aid residents to make better decisions when selecting a room. The decisions still lies on the hands of Office of Campus Housing (OCH). | 0 |

Please note that the allocation of housing offers is based on the availability of rooms and the Hall Admission Scheme. The process is not first-come, first-served, so take your time to fill out your application correctly.
