Our 13 hens have been giving us about 6 eggs a day through the winter so far. It's enough for our normal daily egg intake, for breakfast and a bit of baking here and there. Over the holidays we needed a lot extra, and I was so thankful I'd been glassing them for just the last month of summer! We have about 90 eggs that I've been able to dip into when I want to do some extra baking or make deviled eggs. It was so easy, minimal effort, and the eggs taste just like they were fresh 👏 Just add one oz of pickling lime to a liter of water, and gently set in your unwashed (free of poop and straw) eggs! I'll definitely be glassing all of our extra eggs this summer!
