| 5 |  The greatest risk to your Tawḥīd, to your Islām, isn't always an open enemy.
Sometimes it's the voice that says "we're all humans" — and asks you to set aside what Allāh loves and what Allāh hates, for the sake of their interests.
Al-Walāʾ wa al-Barāʾ is not a side issue. It is not a terminology debate. It is no less important than your Ṣalāh, your fasting, your memorization of Qurʾān.
It is the essence of your Tawḥīd.

| 9 |  Beyond All Comparison: Understanding Al-Quddūs and Al-Salām (Part 2) — Lecture 19
In yesterday’s session we took a deeper look into one of the most profound principles in all of ʿaqīdah; that freeing Allah from imperfection operates on two inseparable levels: exalting Him above everything that contradicts His attributes of perfection, and freeing Him from all resemblance to His creation.
We came to understand that shirk, at its very core, is not just an act of disobedience, it’s an act of belittling Allah, because to equate anything from creation with the Creator is automatically to ascribe deficiency to Him.
We were also reminded that every deviation we see in the Ummah — whether it is questioning Allah's legislation, calling for reform of the Sharia, or calling upon other than Allah — traces back, without exception, to a corruption in one's knowledge of Allah's perfect names and attributes.
A session that changes forever how you understand both Tawheed and shirk.
