Al-Hakim: Perfect Wisdom in Every Command and Decree (Part 3) — Lecture 29 In yesterday's session we turned to Allah's wisdom in legislation, discovering that the greatest wisdom behind every single command and prohibition is one thing alone: that it allows us to become servants of Allah and gain His pleasure — sufficient on its own, even if no other benefit existed. We were reminded, through a powerful parent-child analogy, that constantly asking "why" before obeying a command is a sign of disrespect toward the one commanding — and how much more does this apply to our Lord, whose knowledge is perfect while ours is not. We then explored one of the most compelling proofs of the Quran's divine origin — the miraculous nature of its legislation — through the Prophet's ﷺ instruction to wash hands before dipping them into a water vessel upon waking, a hygiene principle science would only catch up with centuries later. We came to understand that studying fiqh isn't a dry exercise in rules — it's one of the greatest ways to witness, firsthand, that this legislation could never have come from a man of the desert, but only from Allah Himself.
