Why was Pluto reclassified as a dwarf planet? 🤔
One of three necessary criteria for a celestial body to be considered a planet in the Solar System is "clearing the neighbourhood" of its own orbital zone. While Pluto is big enough to be round, it's too small to push other objects out of its orbital way. So, the International Astronomical Union “demoted” Pluto in 2006, leaving it out in the cold of the Kuiper Belt. Still feels like watching a kid getting kicked out of a TV talent show!Thoughts🤔? Sirius, the brightest star in the night sky ⭐️
The brightest star in the sky is Sirius, also known as the “Dog Star” or, more officially, Alpha Canis Majoris, for its position in the constellation Canis Major. Sirius is a binary star dominated by a luminous main sequence star, Sirius A.📷 Akira Fujii Join @Space_Timess 🚀

The Sun 🌞
A thread explaining different cores and parts/features of our Sun ☀️ (continued in comments):
⚡Core
The Sun's core is where nuclear fusion happens, generating light and heat by converting hydrogen into helium.⚡Radioactive Zone
The radiative zone in the Sun is where energy moves through radiation, as photons bounce between atoms, gradually making their way toward the surface.⚡Convective Zone
The convective zone in the Sun is where energy is transported by the movement of hot, ionized gases, creating currents and contributing to the overall heat distribution within the Sun.⚡Tachocline
The tachocline is a thin layer within the Sun, situated between the radiative and convective zones. It's known for its role in influencing the Sun's magnetic field and rotation dynamics....continued (Check top comment) 💬 Join @Space_Timess🚀| BOOST📚
