These are the words of martyred prisoner Sheikh Khader Adnan after Palestinian Authority forces opened fire on him in Nablus after a series of attacks. Sheikh Khader said afterward, "It seems they did not need 14 people to kill me, as they did with Nizar Banat." Sheikh Khader wrote, "I was arrested in the occupation prisons and went on a hunger strike just like I did in Areeha... The years have passed, the arrests [by the PA] have been repeated, and they have turned into assaults and attempts [on my life] in civilian clothes. The PA advanced, developed, demonized, and incited... They killed Nizar. Today, they want to kill us by distributing false accusations and inciting the homes of martyrs, prisoners, the wounded, and remote surveillance." Ahmad Abu Al-Ful from Tulkarem camp, a resistance fighter in Saraya Al-Quds and leader of the martyrdom unit of the Tulkarem Brigade, has ascended to martyrdom after the treacherous Palestinian Authority’s Security Forces opened fire on his vehicle multiple times earlier today. He is the third martyr to ascend by PA gunfire in Tulkarem in the last year, after Abdel Qader Zaqdeh and Motasim Al-Arif. Glory to the martyrs.

They think the goal is to quote Mutahhari & regurgitate his ideas. The point of reading Mutahhari is to think like Mutahhari. To approach questions and issues as Mutahhari would.' The objective of reading books by great scholars is not to become specialists in their thoughts, but to learn the spirit of inquiry from them. To seek inspiration from their great attitude of learning and critical thought. By correcting our thought process, we aim to destroy idols, not create more.

Ayatollah Mutahhari was the student of Qom under the supervision of the renowned Islamic figures, such as Allameh Tabataba'i, Ayatollah Khomeini, and many other distinguished scholars, before he migrated to Tehran. Ayatollah Mutahhari tried to preserve the sacred religion of Islam from atheistic, secular, views and against the interpretation of the verses of the Qur'an in a purely materialistic manner. He also wrote on exegesis of the Qur'an, philosophy, ethics, sociology, history and many other subjects. In all his writings the real object he had in view was to give replies to the objections raised by others against Islam, to prove the shortcomings of other schools of thought and to manifest the greatness of Islam. He believed that in order to reveal the falsity of other ideologies, it was necessary not only to comment on them in a scholarly manner, but also to present the real image of Islam. Ayatollah Mutahhari wrote assiduously and continuously from his student days right up to 1979, the year of his assassination. He was one of the most versatile Islamic scholars and prolific writers of recent times, deeply rooted in traditional learning and enamoured of its exponents. He was a Islamic thinker who had fully absorbed a rigorous philosophical training. Much of his work has been published in and outside Iran. The 1st of May is celebrated as ‘Teacher’s Day’ in the Islamic Republic of Iran, and it was on this day that the people of Iran (as well as the whole world) remember the martyrdom anniversary of one of Iran's greatest Islamic thinkers and principal architects of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Murtadha Mutahhari. He was assassinated on this day in cold blood by the terrorist Furqan group. Imam Khomeini upon hearing of his death said: ‘In him I have lost a dear son; I am mourning the death of one who was the fruit of my life.’ (1/2)

🥀Even at the peak of Fatigue.... (Memory of Martyr Murtaza Mutahhari) He was invited to give a speech at the University of Shiraz. He had two speeches to give before noon. After noon he had another two speeches to be delivered before sunset. The question and answer session with the students had just finished and the Ustad (Martyr Mutahhari) was walking towards the car when a man approached him and invited him to give a lecture at his local mosque. It was not an easy thing to give speeches with different types of youth from morning till evening, however Ustad accepted with pleasure. After the lecture in the Mosque, he went towards his place of residence. The driver of Ustad was waiting for him to come and rest for a bit, however it was the time in which he would recite Quran. Even at the peak of fatigue, according to his night programme, he performed ablution and started reciting Quran. He was a man who never accepted fatigue and all aspects of his life were in the right place.

Bio: As Ayatollah Khomeini began to publicly denounce the Pahlavi regime’s atrocities, Shaikh Mutahhari took it upon himself to mentally prepare the masses for the impending Revolution. His books on such vital social topics laid the intellectual foundation for the mass movement that would eventually vote in overwhelming numbers to create an Islamic government in Iran. Shaikh Mutahhari was considered one of the greatest minds behind the Revolution and would have been a tremendous asset for the future success of the Islamic Republic. However, his role in the leadership of the Revolution would not last long. In 1979, while he was returning from a meeting of the Council of the Islamic Revolution in Tehran, he was fatally assassinated by a member of the terrorist Furqan group.

WORDS OR REALITY ... “We wish we were with you, so that we could have achieved a great victory”. We always repeat this statement, addressing Imam Hussain (a.s.). Yet, do we really pay #attention to its actual meaning? It simply means, “O Aba Abdillah! We wish we were with you so that we could have attained the rank of #martyrdom fighting on your side and under your #standard, and thus we would have achieved a great #victory.” Are these just words or do they underline a #sincere intension and a true desire? Although there are people who utter the words and truly mean what they are talking about, yet the majority of us recite these words in the book of visitations, paying lip service to them.
