He would bring home firewood;
He would supply the house with its needed water;
He would sweep the house.
She would grind the grain;
She would make the dough and bake the bread.
He said:
“I never made her upset, and she never upset me. I never forced her to do anything, and she never caused me any distress. She never went against my wishes in anything. And whenever I looked at her face, all my sorrows would fade away, and I would forget my pain.”

A person once asked the Prophet, “What are the rights of the father upon the son?” The Prophet replied, “He should not call his father by name, he should not walk ahead of him, he should not sit until his father has seated himself, and he should not do such acts which result in people abusing his father.”

Then if they bear the torment patiently, [it will be of no avail, since] the Fire is the home for them, and if they seek Divine Forgiveness, yet they are not of those who will ever be forgiven by Allah.
فَإِنْ يَصْبِرُوا فَالنَّارُ مَثْویً لَهُمْ وَ إِنْ يَسْتَعْتِبُوا فَما هُمْ مِنَ الْمُعْتَبِينَ
📖 Surah Fussilat, Verse 24
⚜️ Neither patience nor crying shall be of no avail to disbelievers in Hell, since repentance and asking for Divine Forgiveness may solely help man in this world. The Arabic word mathwan indicates permanent residence and the verbal form yasta’tibu deriving from isti’ab designates request forgiveness.
The blessed Verse in question is saying that Hellfire shall be disbelievers’ home whether they endure the pain or no and it shall be of no point to ask for Divine Forgiveness then since it shall be of no avail.
