Not one question in the House today asking about the progress of the peace deal in Gaza. Not one letter or email of support, not one interview, not one comment.
It’s almost as if they want an excuse to keep banging their drums, waiving their flags, and swinging their crowbars - all the while ‘crying havoc and unleashing the dogs of war’.
What exactly are they protesting about now? That there is a peace deal on the table waiting for one side to agree to?
Why don’t the media ask them what they think of the peace deal? About what they think of the delays in it being accepted?
How about asking the opposition their thoughts on the fact that the Italian government offered to transport the flotilla’s aid to people in Gaza on their behalf - and they refused. So what were they there for exactly?
If that’s not obvious to everyone in the media the hypocrisy and blatant meaningless faux outrage ‘headline hunting’ intent of these protesters then they need a new job.
And maybe Hipkins should take his own advice and tell his mates sitting next to him to stop the inflammatory rhetoric and start knowing half of what they were talking about.
