Protest in Waitaki today against the forced fluoridation of Oamaru. Oamaru is one of the 14 places the Director-General of Health, Dr Diana Sarfati, has ordered to be fluoridated. As Fluoride Free Waitaki spokesperson, Sheryl Black, pointed out "Dr Sarfati hasn't complied with the High Court's orders from February, yet she expects us to comply with hers." Not only does she EXPECT the Council to comply with her demand, she is threatening them with a $200,000 fine plus $10,000 a day for every day they do not do as she says. In relation to the claim made by Golriz’s lawyer yesterday that the former MP had been provided with “the same level of security as the PM from 2019 until earlier this year”, the Speaker has made the following statement in response to a general question from me asking whether any MP has had that level of security over the last two or three years. DIA provided me with a copy of the declaration which stated, “Professor Blakely has published numerous academic and media articles about COVID-19, including commentary on the NZ government's response.” The DIA cover email stated: “You have requested in regards Professor Tony Blakely, ‘a list of potential or actual conflicts which you declared as part of the appointment process, and any protocols that were agreed in order to manage those conflicts.’   Attached is the requested information that was provided to Cabinet at the time of Professor Blakely’s appointment. Professor Blakely has agreed to the release of this information.
