Following on from the "Episcopal Throne" of Tours, a friend sent me this: "On the topic of episcopal thrones, check out this nightmare from St Hedwig's Cathedral in Berlin." Remember, that the dogmatic R&R apologists tell us that we must accept their ideas, and cannot hold Leo XIV to lack authority, because otherwise there would be no successors of the Apostles left. And the men they tell us are the formal successors of the Apostles are the ones who get rid of their thrones and replace them with things like this. Could they be any clearer in telling us that they lack authority?

This is the "episcopal throne" or "cathedra" in the Cathedral of Tours, France. We are told that Leo XIV etc. must be legitimate Popes, because otherwise there would be no more formal successors to the Apostles. But this "cathedra" is a good example of how these "formal successors" view themselves and their authority. If it was a humble stool or wicker chair, it would be better. It would be fine. But this is a deliberate monstrosity of ugliness, conveying a refusal to BE a successor of the Apostles.
