🗣️𝐀𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐓𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐫:
𝐁𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐞 𝐒𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐜𝐢𝐭𝐭𝐨 was born in Banjarnegara, Central Java, in 1976. He trained as a Sāmaṇera for 15 years spending his time both in Indonesia & Sri Lanka. During that period, he completed his study on Pali and Buddhist Studies at the University of Kelaniya from B.A to Ph.D. Ven. Santacitto received his higher ordination in 2015 under the preceptor (Upajjhaya), Ven. Sukhemo Mahāthera. He is currently residing in Mendut Buddhist Monastery under the guidance of Ven. Sri Paññāvaro Mahāthera and has been entrusted to be the Head of Kertarajasa Buddhist College in Batu, Malang, Indonesia.

🗣️About the Teacher:
𝐁𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐞 𝐒𝐞𝐞𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐚 was born in Sri Lanka and ordained at the age of 11. In 1984, he received his higher ordination. Bhante served as Vice President and Vice Abbot of Bhavana Society in West Virginia, US, from 2011 to 2016. He is now based in the US.
He is fluent in English, Pali & Sanskrit, and is very skilled in teaching Buddhism and meditation to both novices and lay practitioners. Bhante has visited 23 countries and shared the techniques of serenity & insight meditation, and the Dhamma.

🗣️About the Teacher:
𝐀𝐲𝐲𝐚 𝐔𝐩𝐞𝐤𝐤𝐡𝐚 who began her spiritual journey in 1986, received higher ordination in Taiwan in 2005. Guided by Ajahn Sujato and Ajahn Brahm, Ayya transitioned to the Theravada Forest tradition in 2009 to pursue a deeper focus on meditation and strict Vinaya practice. After over a decade as one of the founding members and Senior Bhikkhuni of Newbury Buddhist Monastery, she returned to Singapore in Sep 2025. She remains in practice while offering her service to the local community.

While she has a PhD in Microbiology and worked as a scientist, she has also been the building project manager for the construction of the Dhammasara Nuns Monastery main building complex and has worked with many volunteers over the years. Ayya Kārunikā was born in Sri Lanka but has been living and working in Australia for over 2 decades.
She has a passion to share her experience and knowledge and loves working with people and also doing creative projects. She is dedicated to supporting the growth of Bhikkhunis around the world and is currently involved in projects to support the establishment of places for Bhikkhunis in Theravada forest tradition in Australia, New Zealand, Poland and Sri Lanka.

An Awesome Experience of a Lifetime! Buddhist Fellowship (BF) and the Buddhist Society of Western Australia (BSWA) are organising a 10-day Buddhist Pilgrimage with 𝐀𝐣𝐚𝐡𝐧 𝐁𝐫𝐚𝐡𝐦𝐚𝐥𝐢, 𝐀𝐲𝐲𝐚 𝐊𝐚𝐫𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐤𝐚 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐟𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐒𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐡𝐚 𝐦𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫𝐬 through Sri Lanka's most sacred sites, offering pilgrims an opportunity to deepen faith, cultivate mindfulness, and connect with the living heritage of the Buddha's teachings.
