Donald Trump has repeatedly threatened to forcibly annex Greenland, even though polls show that 85% of Greenlanders oppose this, and only 6% support it.
What does the US empire want from trying to colonize Greenland?
One, to restrict China's access to the Arctic region, as climate change melts ice and opens up new trade routes.
And two, to exploit the territory’s natural resources, especially critical minerals, which Washington wants to build a new supply chain that excludes China.
