About the Role: The Deputy Operations Superintendent is responsible for the overall coordination, supervision, and smooth day-to-day operation of Victoria Travels' transport business. The position ensures that buses, Transport Officers, Customer Service Officers, routes, schedules, passengers, and operational resources are properly coordinated to achieve safe, efficient, reliable, profitable, and customer-focused transportation services. Key Responsibilities • Develop and optimize routes for efficiency and profitability • Oversee the day-to-day operations of trips and ensure smooth service delivery. • Supervise, support and coordinate the activities of all Transport Officers (TOs), Station Managers (SMs) and Customer Service Officers (CSOs). • Drive operational performance, punctuality, compliance, and achieve operational targets • Handle and resolve customer complaints and operational issues beyond the capacity of the Customer Service officers and Transport officers. • Work closely with the Scheduling Officer to ensure effective bus and Transport Officer scheduling for trip. • Identify operational challenges and implement practical solutions. • Ensure strict compliance with company policies, SOPs, safety standards, and operational procedures. • Prepare operational reports and make recommendations to Management for improved efficiency and profitability. Requirements: - Permanent Voter’s Card (PVC) - Experience in transport operations, logistics, fleet management, or a similar supervisory role. - Strong leadership and people management/supervisory ability - Excellent problem-solving and decision-making ability - Strong communication and organizational skills. - Ability to resolve conflicts, patience and work effectively under pressure. Is it because we lack prayer or faith? No! It’s because we lack economic productivity. No! It is because we have serious economic and productivity challenges. So, any religious or “spiritual” person who thinks or teaches that the chronic level of poverty experienced by the average African or Nigerian will be solved primarily through financial miracles is hallucinating. We must start telling young Nigerians, and young Africans the economic truth: If you want more money, learn something valuable. If you want more income, provide something people need. If you want to build wealth, save, invest, acquire productive assets and build businesses. Stop waiting for mysterious money. Stop waiting for someone to “remember you.” Stop believing that your financial breakthrough must come from somewhere outside the economic system. Go and create value. Build something. Sell something. Solve a problem. Develop a skill. Get a job. Start a business. Invest. And keep improving. Because at the end of the day, sustainable wealth is not magic. It is economics. Pure economics!
