*📖VICTORY OVER EVIL FORCES*

📜And having disarmed the powers and authorities, he made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross *Colossians 2:15 (NIV)*
📋The devil and his evil forces have declared war on the faithful followers of Christ (Revelation 12:17). Satan and his wicked forces are relentless in their attack on us, using all kinds of strategies and weapons. They bring trials and troubles: sicknesses and diseases, discouragement and depression, conflicts, perplexities, persecutions, etc. As our adversary, Satan opposes us, seeks to devour us, to steal our blessings, to kill us or to destroy us. The devil and his evil forces seek to defeat us and make our lives miserable. Their aim is to lead us astray and separate us from the love of God so that we miss eternity with God in heaven. But there is victory for us through Christ! He defeated these evil forces on the cross as indicated in today’s focus verse: “And having disarmed the powers and authorities, he made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross.” Jesus has authority over these forces because he is exalted to the highest place “far above all rule and authority, power and dominion, and every name that is invoked, not only in the present age but also in the one to come” (Ephesians 1:21). These evil forces are all under the feet of Jesus. To experience his victory over evil forces, Jesus has given us his authority over all of them (Luke 10:19). Do you still fear evil forces?

*📖VICTORY OVER DEATH*

📜Then, when our dying bodies have been transformed into bodies that will never die, this Scripture will be fulfilled: ‘Death is swallowed up in victory’ … But thank God! He gives us victory over sin and death through our Lord Jesus Christ *1 Corinthians 15:54,57 (NLT)*
📋Many people live as “slaves to the fear of death” (Hebrews 2:15). But true believers in Christ should not dread death because God has already given us victory over death. Through his death and resurrection, Jesus destroyed the power of Satan over death (Hebrews 2:14-15). It was impossible for death to keep him in the grave (Acts 2:24). As true believers, we should not fear death because for us death is only the doorway into eternal life. Certainly, believers do die, but it is not the end; death ushers the believer into a new and glorious life. Why should we be afraid of death when we know that our Lord Jesus has power over death? He told the Apostle John in Revelation 1:18: “I am the Living One; I was dead, and now look, I am alive for ever and ever! And I hold the keys of death and Hades.” As believers, we look forward to the day when our mortal bodies will be transformed into glorious immortal bodies and we will live eternally with God in heaven where “there will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain ...” (Revelation 21:4). Do not be afraid of death.

*📖HE KNEW WHAT TO DO*

📜Jesus soon saw a huge crowd of people coming to look for him. Turning to Philip, he asked, where can we buy bread to feed these people? He was testing Philip, for he already knew what he was going to do * John 6:5-6 (NLT)*
📋As human beings we often worry about life’s challenges. However, we must be assured that our God knows what is good for us when we find ourselves in difficult situations. For the scripture says in Isaiah 46:10: “Only I can tell you the future before even it happens. Everything I plan will come to pass.” This means that God already makes provision before we even get into the problems or before they manifest. The focus text indicates Jesus’ response to the needs of the people and his predetermined plan of what to do about the condition of the people. Jesus asked whether Philip could help provide food for the crowd? The scripture says, Jesus was just testing Philip’s faith for he knew what he was going to do. Do you have any challenge in life which you are thinking about what the solution could be? Know that Jesus already has a solution to that predicament and he knows what to do to bring a permanent solution to that problem. So, ask for the Lord’s intervention in your predicament.
_*🛐Meditation And Prayer:*_ Thank you Jesus, for your foreknowledge of all my problems. Let your power bring solution to all the known and unknown problems in my life.
