"Espíritu Santo de Dios, en esta mañana me acerco a Ti con humildad y gratitud. Gracias por el don de un nuevo día, por la vida que me regalas y por tu presencia silenciosa pero poderosa, que me sostiene y me guía en cada paso.
Te pido que habites en mi interior, que renueves mi mente y transformes mi corazón. Sopla sobre mí tu sabiduría, tu luz y tu discernimiento, para que mis pensamientos, decisiones y acciones estén alineados con la voluntad del Padre.
Espíritu Santo, brilla en mi hogar, en mi familia y en mis relaciones. Llena nuestros corazones de comprensión, de perdón y de ternura. Que donde haya tensión, pongas paz; donde haya tristeza, lleves consuelo; y donde haya oscuridad, derrames tu claridad.
Si hoy aparecen dificultades, recuérdame que tu fuerza es mayor que cualquier prueba. Dame valor para enfrentar lo que venga, fe para no rendirme y alegría para vivir con esperanza. No permitas que el miedo me paralice ni que el cansancio me desvíe del bien.

| 3 | Five Minutes with the Holy Spirit

Many times we suffer because of the aggression we carry within.
Some people react poorly, with aggression or sarcasm; others remain silent but isolate themselves with resentment. There are many inner tensions that make us feel bad around others. Sometimes things bother us and we don’t even know why; other times we feel rejection over things that are not that important.
It is necessary to bring calm and harmony to that inner world so we do not waste so much energy unnecessarily.
The Holy Spirit can heal our inner being so we may be freed from unnecessary tensions, so we may renounce conflict with others, so we may stop resisting things that irritate us and learn to accept them as part of life.
If we allow the Holy Spirit to calm us in a moment of prayer, we can say “no” to inner violence and sincerely choose the peace of the heart.
This does not mean that we do not fight or disagree when necessary. It only means we learn to do so without losing our inner calm. With the grace of the Holy Spirit, we can do it, because He is the gentle inner Master.

Muchas veces sufrimos por la agresividad que llevamos dentro.
Algunas personas reaccionan mal, con agresiones o ironías; otras se callan, pero se aíslan resentidas. Hay muchas tensiones interiores que nos llevan a sentirnos mal con las demás personas. A veces hay cosas que nos molestan y no sabemos bien por qué; otras veces sentimos rechazo por cosas que no son tan importantes.
Es necesario llevar calma y armonía a ese mundo interior, para que no desgastemos tantas energías inútilmente.
El Espíritu Santo puede sanar nuestro interior para que nos liberemos de muchas tensiones innecesarias, para que renunciemos a la guerra con los demás, para que dejemos de resistirnos ante las cosas que nos irritan y aprendamos a aceptarlas como parte de la vida.
Si dejamos que el Espíritu Santo nos serene en un momento de oración, podemos decirle “no” a la violencia interior y optar sinceramente por la paz del corazón.
Esto no significa que no luchemos o que no discutamos cuando es necesario. Sólo significa que aprendamos a hacerlo sin perder la calma interior. Con la gracia del Espíritu Santo podemos lograrlo, porque él es el dulce maestro interior.

Our greatest weakness is being unable to accept our smallness, forgetting that we are just a tiny part of a limitless universe, one among many in this vast humanity. The heart resists, because its weakness leads it to want to be the center of everything.
It is important to realize how absurd that claim is. We are not, and never will be, the center of reality. We will die, and the world will continue to turn and move forward. Yet our great weakness deceives us into feeling that the world really revolves around us. That is why we cannot understand when others are not focused on us, do not listen to us, do not consider us, or forget about us. In truth, that is the most natural thing. Others have no reason to revolve around us.
Let us ask the Holy Spirit to destroy that terrible illusion, to help us open our eyes to the vastness of the universe, to broaden our horizons, to break that sick prison of the ego, and to recognize that we revolve around God, because He is the true center. Then we will be freed from many useless sufferings.

Nuestra peor debilidad es no poder aceptar nuestra pequeñez, olvidar que somos sólo una pequeña parte del universo sin límites, uno más en esta humanidad inmensa. El corazón se rebela, porque su debilidad lo lleva a pretender ser el centro del todo.
Es importante que nos demos cuenta que se trata de una pretensión absurda. No somos ni seremos el centro de la realidad. Nosotros moriremos y el mundo seguirá funcionando y avanzando. Pero nuestra gran debilidad nos lleva a engañarnos y a sentir que realmente el mundo gira a nuestro alrededor. Por eso no entendemos que los demás no estén pendientes de nosotros, que no nos escuchen, que no nos tengan en cuenta, que nos ignoren o nos olviden. En realidad, eso es lo más natural. Los demás no tienen por qué girar a nuestro alrededor.
Pidamos al Espíritu Santo que destruya ese terrible engaño, que nos ayude a abrir los ojos para descubrir la amplitud del universo, para ampliar nuestros horizontes, para romper esa cárcel enfermiza del propio yo, para reconocer que nosotros giramos alrededor de Dios, porque él es el verdadero centro. Entonces nos liberaremos de muchos sufrimientos inútiles.
