"Espíritu Santo, en este nuevo día que me ha sido concedido, vengo a Ti con humildad y gratitud. Gracias por ser luz en mis momentos de oscuridad y fuerza en mis momentos de debilidad. Gracias por inspirar cada paso que doy.
Hoy te pido que seas Tú llenando mi mente de claridad y mi corazón de serenidad. Que me acompañes en cada pensamiento, palabra y acción, guiándome hacia lo que es justo, bueno y verdadero.
Enséñame a vivir este día con fe y esperanza, a encontrar en lo simple una oportunidad de amar, y a ser un canal de paz en medio de tanto ruido. Que mis palabras construyan, que mis silencios sean sabios y que mis gestos reflejen la bondad de Dios.
Te pido también por mi familia y por las personas que amo. Protégelos, fortalécelos, y derrama sobre ellos tu gracia. Llénanos de unidad, comprensión y alegría, y ayúdanos a caminar siempre bajo tu inspiración.
Espíritu Santo, si en algún momento me falta el ánimo o la confianza, recuérdame que estás en mí y conmigo, sosteniéndome con tu amor. Hoy, como cada día, me entrego plenamente a Ti.

"Holy Spirit, source of all goodness, today I come to thank You for all You give me and for Your living presence within me. I don't want to keep Your gifts only for myself: teach me to share them generously, without fear of running out.
Help me understand that the more I give, the more I receive. May my life be a channel through which Your love flows to others. May my heart be filled as I fill my brother’s vessel, as Saint Bonaventure taught. Give me a generous spirit that knows the joy of giving.
Today I choose to live by sharing. I don't want to close my heart or keep my arms crossed. May the miracle of love be renewed in me each day, and as I give, may I discover the endless abundance of Your presence.

| 3 | Five Minutes with the Holy Spirit
July 19
When one receives the Holy Spirit as the source of their own good, they become an instrument to communicate that good to others. Saint Bonaventure teaches that if one stops giving, one also stops receiving. That is why the best way to preserve spiritual gifts is by sharing them. The Holy Spirit cannot act in a person who resists giving and sharing:
“If the higher angels were to hold back and not want to communicate with the lower angels, they would close for themselves the path of divine influence. If you deny others the good you receive from God, you are not worthy of eternal life” (St. Bonaventure).
Saint Bonaventure also said: “Do you want the compassion of Mother Church to descend upon you? Then fill your neighbor’s pitcher.”
When I fill my brother’s pitcher, mine remains full. It is the miracle of love that the Holy Spirit can produce in our lives.

"Espíritu Santo, fuente de todo bien, hoy vengo a agradecerte por todo lo que me das y por tu presencia viva en mi interior. No quiero quedarme con tus dones solo para mí: enséñame a compartirlos con generosidad, sin temor a quedarme sin nada.
Hazme comprender que cuanto más doy, más recibo. Que mi vida sea un canal por el que pase tu amor hacia los demás. Que mi corazón se llene al llenar el cántaro del hermano, como enseñaba San Buenaventura. Dame un espíritu generoso que sepa vivir la alegría de dar.

Cuando uno recibe el Espíritu Santo como fuente del propio bien, uno se vuelve un instrumento para comunicar ese bien a los otros. San Buenaventura enseña que si uno deja de dar, deja también de recibir; por eso, la mejor manera de conservar los bienes espirituales es comunicándolos, compartiéndolos. El Espíritu Santo no puede actuar en una persona que se resiste a dar y a compartir:
“Si los ángeles superiores se contuvieran y no quisieran comunicarse a los ángeles inferiores, se cerrarían para sí mismos el camino del influjo divino. Si niegas a otros el bien que recibes de Dios, no eres digno de la vida eterna” (S. Buenaventura).
También decía San Buenaventura: “¿Quieres que la piedad de la madre Iglesia descienda hasta ti? Entonces llena el cántaro del vecino”.
Cuando lleno el cántaro del hermano, mi cántaro se mantiene lleno. Es el milagro del amor que puede producir el Espíritu Santo en nuestras vidas.

"Espíritu Santo, hoy vengo ante Ti con un corazón abierto, sediento de Tu amor y de Tu presencia. Tú conoces mis pensamientos más profundos y los deseos sinceros que habitan en mi alma. Lléname con Tu paz y fortalece mi ánimo para vivir este día con esperanza.
Dame Tu luz para ver con claridad lo que debo hacer, Tu fuerza para avanzar con decisión, y Tu ternura para tratar con amor a cada persona que se cruce en mi camino. Sé mi guía constante en medio de las distracciones, mis dudas y mis debilidades.

“Holy Spirit, come and bear witness to Jesus within me, when the world invites me to turn away from Him. May your presence be stronger than the voices of fear, doubt, or rejection. Gently remind me of Christ’s words when my faith is tested.
Give me the courage to remain firm in the love of Jesus, even when that means going against the current. I don’t want to give in to what the world offers as if it were the most precious thing, because I’ve already discovered that only your divine life within me fills my soul.
Thank you, Holy Spirit, for not abandoning me in difficult moments. You set my heart on fire with the strength of the Risen Christ, and with that strength I want to bear witness to Him with joy and without shame.

| 14 | Five Minutes with the Holy Spirit
July 18
Jesus promises His disciples that when He goes to the Father, He will send the Paraclete, the Holy Spirit: “The Paraclete whom I will send to you from the Father will testify on my behalf” (John 15:26). What does this “testimony” mean?
The Holy Spirit gives testimony to Christ within us, because the disciples have to endure persecution and rejection from the world. To remain strong in such trials, they need the inner strength that only the Holy Spirit can provide. The Spirit makes present the love of Jesus and brings back His words into the hearts of the disciples, especially when the world is proclaiming a very different message.
When our faith is tested, the Holy Spirit defends Christ within our hearts, helping us cling to His love and not be seduced by the false attractions of the world that try to take first place in our desires and plans.
Rather than thinking that the Holy Spirit gives arguments in favor of Christ, we must see the supernatural life He communicates to believers, a life that is peace and joy, strength and courage. This life is Christ Himself, risen and living within the believer.
With that inner life, the believer dares to give witness to Christ in the midst of an opposing world, without shame: “You also will testify on my behalf” (John 15:27).

“Espíritu Santo, ven a dar testimonio de Jesús dentro de mí, cuando el mundo me invite a alejarme de Él. Que tu presencia sea más fuerte que las voces del miedo, de la duda o del rechazo. Recuérdame con ternura las palabras de Cristo cuando la fe sea puesta a prueba.
Dame valentía para sostenerme firme en el amor de Jesús, incluso cuando eso implique ir contra la corriente. No quiero ceder ante lo que el mundo ofrece como si fuera lo más valioso, porque ya descubrí que lo único que llena mi alma es tu vida divina en mí.

Jesús promete a sus discípulos que cuando llegue a la presencia del Padre enviará al Paráclito, el Espíritu Santo: “El Paráclito que yo les enviaré de parte del Padre dará testimonio de mí” (Jn 15, 26). ¿Qué significado tiene este “testimonio?”
El Espíritu Santo da testimonio de Cristo en nuestro interior, porque los discípulos deben soportar la persecución, el rechazo del mundo, y para mantenerse firmes en la prueba necesitan de la fortaleza interior que sólo el Espíritu Santo puede dar. El Espíritu hace presente el amor de Jesús y el recuerdo de sus palabras en el corazón de los discípulos, cuando todo el mundo está proclamando un mensaje diferente.
Cuando la fe sea puesta a prueba, el Espíritu Santo defenderá a Cristo, luchará a su favor dentro de nuestro propio corazón, para que nos aferremos a su amor y no nos dejemos seducir por los atractivos del mundo que quieren ocupar el primer lugar en nuestros deseos y en nuestros planes.
Pero más que pensar que el Espíritu Santo da argumentos en favor de Cristo, hay que pensar en la vida sobrenatural que él comunica a los creyentes, vida que es paz y alegría, fortaleza y valentía; y esa vida es Cristo mismo resucitado, viviendo en el creyente.
Con esa vida interior, el creyente puede atreverse a dar testimonio de Cristo en medio del mundo adverso, sin avergonzarse de su fe en Jesús: “Ustedes también darán testimonio de mí” (Jn 15, 27).
