🥇 Gold is trying to stabilize after the Fed’s first rate hike in three years.
💵 The Dollar Index has strengthened to its highest in more than a month following this week’s Fed hike and hawkish global central-bank signals. A stronger USD remains an important risk for XAUUSD.
🇯🇵 The Bank of Japan raised its policy rate from 1.00% to 1.25% today, the highest level in 31 years. Interestingly, the Yen weakened after the decision as markets interpreted parts of the BOJ message as less hawkish than expected.
🧼 Oil prices are falling again, with Brent around $103–104/barrel. Easing fears over Saudi supply disruptions are helping crude retreat after its recent surge.

🧼 Oil is falling today after reports that Saudi Arabia is offering additional crude through Oman, providing an alternative route amid regional disruptions and reducing immediate supply fears.

🇺🇸 Markets are pricing roughly a 93% chance of a 25-bps Fed rate hike, which would take the target range to 3.75%–4.00%.
🧼 Brent → ~$108 | WTI → ~$105. Oil is falling today after U.S. crude inventories unexpectedly jumped 7.1 million barrels, but Middle East supply disruptions are limiting the decline.
🚨 Saudi Arabia has suspended oil loadings at Yanbu following attacks on its East-West pipeline, while traffic through the Strait of Hormuz remains heavily disrupted. These risks continue to keep a large geopolitical premium in oil. | 229 |
