| 5 | I appreciate there is alot of scaremongering in the media about a food crisis but I personally think we ARE looking at some kind of food shortage situation here in the UK, and dramatic price hikes as a result of the same. We've had lack of rain, poor grass for the farmers to graze cattle and there are increased fertiliser costs too. Now some farmers are warning they can't afford to plant their crops and there is obviously the associated downstream effect from the Hormuz situation
I don't know if we will see these issues make the perfect storm this year. Perhaps we will. But next year is, I think, going to be dicey. Best to prepare a little now imho. Just buy a little extra shelf stable items each time you shop as that is likely to ease the burden of price hikes and means you are also not stuck left hanging if items go short

The Moroccan monarchy is hardly unique among Arab governments that have normalized relations with Israel despite overwhelming public opposition.
