👉 Donald Trump rejected Iran’s latest proposal to reopen the Strait of Hormuz, saying Tehran had overplayed its hand while adding that he expects talks to resume this week. In a separate statement, Trump said he is still considering “very seriously” a US diesel export ban, noting that such a move could lead to higher gasoline prices
👉 Iran’s Foreign Minister AbbasAraghchi says Tehran is prepared for war while remaining open to diplomacy, adding that Iran will stand firm even in a “doomsday war.
👉 China’s industrial profits rose 15.7% year-on-year to CNY 5.27 trillion in the first eight months of 2026, slowing from a 17.6% gain in the January-July period. The latest result reflected continued strength in high-tech and AI-related manufacturing

👀 Stocks to Watch
👍 Clean Max Enviro Energy Solutions – Augment India I Holdings is likely to sell 85 lakh shares (7.25%) at a floor price of ₹1,250, worth ~₹1,063 Cr. Large PE/investor stake sale is a near-term supply overhang, though the company retains ~2.25% after the proposed sale.
🤙 Unichem Laboratories – USFDA inspection at the Goa formulation facility concluded with 5 observations related to procedural enhancements. Not a clean outcome, but also no indication of a severe regulatory action in the update.
👍 Zydus Lifesciences – USFDA inspection of its New Jersey pharmacovigilance/post-marketing surveillance systems concluded with zero observations. Positive regulatory signal.
🤙 Wheels India – QIP closed with 11.97 lakh shares allotted at ₹2,088/share, a 4.97% discount to the ₹2,197.10 floor price. Institutional participation from ABSL MF, SBI MF, WhiteOak and Ashoka India is supportive, although equity dilution is a consideration.
👍 Aequs – Approved preferential issue of 2.8 Cr warrants worth ~₹650 Cr to promoter-group entity Mellwood Trustee Services. ₹325 Cr will come upfront. Significant capital infusion for growth, although eventual warrant conversion will create dilution.
👍 Signatureglobal (India) – Acquired ~194.2 acres in Farrukhnagar, Gurugram, adding ~6.77 million sq ft to its development pipeline with estimated ₹5,500–6,000 Cr GDV. Strong addition to future revenue visibility.
🤙 Prestige Estates Projects – Subsidiary PHVL withdrew its DRHP citing strategic considerations and uncertain market conditions. IPO plans may return later; near-term value-unlocking expectations are deferred.
🤙 Fortis Healthcare – Supreme Court disposed of Fortis’ challenge to the forensic-audit direction. Fortis maintains it was not involved in the underlying Daiichi-Singh Brothers dispute; SC clarified that observations in the HC order were tentative and that the audit will be independent. Legal overhang remains, but the clarification is relatively reassuring.
👍 NMDC – Commissioned its 2 MTPA pellet plant at Nagarnar, part of the ₹5,427 Cr integrated iron-ore processing, pipeline and pellet project. Positive downstream integration and value-addition milestone.
👍 NTPC Green Energy – Commenced commercial operations of the first 81.34 MW of its 650 MW Kalasar Solar Project in Rajasthan. Group installed capacity rises to 11,058.57 MW. Positive capacity addition.
👍 Rashtriya Chemicals & Fertilizers – Approved a ₹797 Cr L&T order for revamp of its ammonia plant at Thai, aimed at reducing specific energy consumption. Positive efficiency/capex development.
👍 R Systems International – Declared a second interim dividend of ₹8/share for 2026; record date October 1. Positive for income-oriented investors. | 17 |
