Technically
Nifty 50 formed a bearish candle on the daily charts after a gap-up opening, indicating an upside breakout above the key resistance level of the down-sloping trendline at 23,750. The index reclaimed its 50-day EMA on a closing basis for the first time since May 25, while the short-term moving averages continued to trend upward. The RSI jumped to 56.33 and maintained a positive crossover, while the MACD showed a bullish crossover, with the histogram printing its first green bar since May 29.All these factors indicate strengthening bullish momentum and a positive near-term outlook.
Nifty Bank gained 0.7 percent and formed a bearish candle on the daily timeframe after a gap-up opening, indicating a positive trend despite some profit booking. The index witnessed an intraday breakout above its April high of 57,456, which is crucial for further upside. It sustained above all key moving averages, with both short- and medium-term moving averages trending upward. The RSI surged to 67.24, while the MACD maintained a bullish crossover above the zero line, accompanied by further expansion in the histogram's green bars. All these factors indicate sustained bullish strength and the potential for further upside.
