Asian markets performed better, led by the Nikkei 225, which rose 0.93%. In commodities, crude oil, gasoline, and heating oil gained, while natural gas declined sharply. In Metals, Gold fell 0.29%, whereas silver and palladium edged higher. Base metals were mostly weak, with copper and aluminum declining, while the U.S. dollar index edged higher.
