A Small Suggestion to All ✅ Future DAGO Trainee Officers ✅ First of all, many congratulations to each one of you on your force allocation. After such a long wait, this moment has finally arrived. Wishing you all the very best for the exciting journey ahead. ✅ I would like to share a few friendly suggestions based on observations and experiences. Please take them in the right spirit. 📌 1. Maintain a Low Profile on Social Media One humble suggestion is to avoid unnecessary limelight on social media. The more public attention you attract as a serving officer, the greater the possibility of facing avoidable complications later. Many experienced officers deliberately maintain a low profile or use social media very cautiously. After joining the academy, try to avoid frequently posting photographs in uniform, with service weapons, or any content that could be considered inconsistent with organizational guidelines. While you may find others doing so, enforcement often becomes stricter from time to time, and official notices are issued when violations are identified. One of the most unfortunate situations for any officer is to have their name associated with disciplinary proceedings over avoidable conduct-related issues. It is always better to remain professional, disciplined, and discreet. Please consider this as a brotherly suggestion, not a criticism. Ultimately, the decision is yours, and you will receive detailed guidance from your academy after joining. ✅ 2. Start Preparing Physically If you have been living a relatively sedentary lifestyle after the examination process, this is the right time to start preparing. Begin regular running, strength training, and basic physical conditioning. This will make your academy life significantly easier. This is particularly important for those joining CRPF, BSF, and ITBP, where the training is physically demanding due to the nature of the organizations, terrain, and operational requirements. Building your fitness now will help you adapt much more comfortably once training begins. ✅ 3. Be Careful About Commercial Activities Once you join your training academy, you will be serving under the Government of India and your conduct will be governed by the Central Civil Services (Conduct) Rules and the relevant service rules applicable to your organization. During your training, you will be briefed about these rules in detail. However, I would still advise you to be cautious about engaging in commercial activities. There is nothing wrong with writing books or creating educational content, but actively promoting or carrying out commercial activities while in government service may attract scrutiny and, in certain situations, disciplinary action. This is not merely a theoretical concern. In the past, a few officers became quite popular through social media and other public activities, but later received official notices regarding such matters. I do not wish to go into the specifics, but the purpose of mentioning this is only to help you avoid unnecessary difficulties in the future. ✅ 4.
