Our age of standards and memories of such is collapsing. People won't remember or even be able to appreciate the past when shown it.
We're now entering an Age of Churn where the life of fads and trends will shorten and be increasingly vacuous. Mostly people will praise things just because of brand recognition.
E.g. "Brawndo has electrolytes."
The Odyssey is now a brand, just like Christopher Nolan is a brand. And people know that both these brands are powerful, so when the two power brands mix, the result must be... better.

He was one of the best writers of our time, and I am glad I got a chance to tell him that. I am also glad we got to have a few conversations on air. I'll try to dig up the recordings we did together.
A man with integrity and tons of talent. An American writer of a type that will never appear again on the world stage.

I came to his writing late, around 2016, but it still left a lasting mark on me. The radical right desperately needs voices like his: sharp, fearless, darkly funny, and impossible to tame. There are far too few of them.

British agents ran active propaganda and political warfare operations on American soil with White House approval.
They planted fake news stories in major U.S. newspapers, rigged polls, disrupted isolationist groups like America First, and used forgeries to discredit opponents. One of the most notorious examples was a fabricated “secret map” that Roosevelt presented to the nation in October 1941, claiming it showed Hitler’s plan to conquer South America.
