John Mearsheimer is overall a mediocre commentator and sometimes outright dishonest, but this is a good summary of the situation in Israel right now. As I've often mentioned on air, Israel now has a pariah status on the global arena. Mearsheimer mentions in the lecture that some 56% of Democrats in America believe that Israel is guilty of genocide. Yet another reason I hope Trump LOSES the election later this year. The most obscene thing about Kremlin-aligned propaganda is the flagrant doublespeak. You are a "warmonger" if you are AGAINST Russia's war in Ukraine. Putin is the representative of peace for STARTING the biggest war since WW2, claiming hundreds of thousands of casualties, burning towns to the ground. Russia is spending an astonishing 30% of its national budget on a war of conquest (they have so far conquered roughly 20% of Ukraine). That makes Putin a white dove, hoping for peace. The people making excuses for his war are anti-war. Look. If you're in favour of a war of aggression, just come out and say it. I'd respect your honesty.
