Forgiveness can seem like the last thing on our minds when we're still reeling from betrayal, a broken promise, or cutting words.
But it's a crucial step in healing and experiencing God's power in our lives. Remember what Jesus said in Mark 11:25: "When you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive them, so that your Father in heaven may forgive you your sins.”
The truth is: We didn't deserve to be hurt, but neither did we deserve to have Jesus pay the price for our sins and be forgiven by God.

| 2 |  When you're faced with a situation that seems broken beyond repair, take heart.
The story of Jesus raising the widow of Nain's son only appears in Luke's gospel (7:11-17). Though often overlooked, it is a comforting reminder of His compassion and power.
The Lord sees you and His heart goes out to you. Listen closely and you'll hear His gentle voice saying, "Don't cry." 🫂
He has the power to bring back to life what was once dead. Trust in Him and wait patiently for His miraculous intervention.

| 4 |  +7𝐀𝐑𝐓𝐒𝐏𝐀𝐂𝐄 | When There Was No Reason for Me to Hope (From the Eyes of Abraham)
The story of Abraham comes to mind when we think about God’s covenantal faithfulness towards His people. God promised Abraham that he would be the father of many nations, just like the stars. And yet, Abraham was only getting older, and God seemed to be silent.
We may feel like Abraham when we are in the midst of waiting on God: as if there is no reason for us to hope. Yet Isaiah 40:31 gives us a reason to hope in the Lord, because we will be renewed!
Abraham’s testimony reminds us that we emerge from the valley not by relying on our own strength, but by depending on the Shepherd and trusting in His work, even when He is silent.

| 6 |  It's tempting to turn to human wisdom for a quick solution when we're faced with difficulties, much like how we scramble to find torches or matches when we experience a power cut.
But Isaiah 50:11 cautions us about trusting in man-made solutions, for those who “light [... and ...] walk in the light of [their] fires” will not receive comfort from the Lord, who is the only true light.
God is pleased when we choose to put our full trust in Him. It reveals who He is to us—that we truly believe He is the 𝑮𝒐𝒐𝒅 𝑺𝒉𝒆𝒑𝒉𝒆𝒓𝒅 who cares for us. 🤗

| 7 |  𝐇𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐛𝐞𝐞𝐧 𝐢𝐧 𝐚 𝐬𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐨𝐧 𝐰𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐆𝐨𝐝 𝐟𝐞𝐞𝐥𝐬 𝐝𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐭?
Psalm 23 is known to comfort, but the preceding psalm—believed by biblical scholars to be the context of the Psalm—reveals the reality of David's suffering. As he walks through the valley of the shadow of death, he is reminded of God's faithful character and writes the psalm we all know and love today.
Like David, our present may seem bleak but know that God will never leave nor forsake us (Deut 31:8). Trust in the Shepherd who remains unchanging even if our seasons may.

| 9 |  Dear Christian, are you resisting the world by relying on self or faith in Christ?
As children born of God, we don’t overcome worldly temptations and pressures by sheer effort. 𝑾𝒆 𝒐𝒗𝒆𝒓𝒄𝒐𝒎𝒆 𝒃𝒚 𝒘𝒉𝒐 𝒘𝒆 𝒂𝒓𝒆 𝒊𝒏 𝑪𝒉𝒓𝒊𝒔𝒕.

Believing that Jesus is the Son of God means we trust in His finished work and rely on His divine strength to choose obedience and holiness over rebellion and compromise.

| 11 |  After sin entered the world, we became eternally separated from God. Nobody’s work could save or reconcile us with Him. But in loving kindness, our Heavenly Father gave us grace through His Son. In Christ’s victorious work on the cross, we were justified and saved, reconciled with God for eternity (Tit 3:4-7).

| 15 |  The first word that comes to mind when we think of trials is probably not joy.
Distress, discouragement, defeat—these are more likely descriptors. 😅
Though the words “trials” and “joy” seem contradictory at first glance, James encourages us to take on a godly, growth-minded perspective.
We can have joy because we know that trials aren’t the end but are the means by which we grow in perseverance and maturity. 📈
We can take heart because “in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose” (Rom 8:28).

| 16 |  God’s love is both unconditional and transformational. He welcomes us just as we are—but He doesn’t leave us the same.
Though the process of correction and change can be painful and uncomfortable, let’s focus on our Father’s love for us. He loves us too much to turn a blind eye to the wrong turns and detours we take.

| 17 |  Metalsmiths subject precious metals like gold and silver to extreme heat, to refine them. In the same way God allows trials in our life to refine us, because our faith is precious to Him.
Through the fire of refinement and purification, our faith emerges stronger, and its quality is revealed. 🔥✨

When what we hope and pray for doesn’t come true, we often believe the lie that God withholds good things from us, that He is fickle in the way He treats us.
Let’s be reminded of what James 1:17 tells us: “Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.”
God is always good—that’s His unchanging nature.
All of God’s gifts are good—even if they come in a form or at a timing that doesn’t match our expectations.

| 19 |  When life gets busy and becomes a blur, we tend to forget about the one who faithfully sustains us 🥛🍯

| 20 |  How can one never thirst again? It’s hard to imagine what that would feel like, especially with Singapore’s hot and humid weather.
However, Jesus offers something special: living water. Water that will not leave us wanting. A drink that truly satisfies (John 4:13–14).
What kinds of wells are you drinking from today? Where do you go to find satisfaction? Jesus told the Samaritan woman, "If you knew the gift of God and who it is that asks you for a drink, you would have asked Him and he would have given you living water” (v. 10).
