| 3 | The potential death of GGN. Constant downtime from these tracker 1 year later.
I have never seen so much downtime for a private tracker in my 10+ years of using private trackers. There is constant downtime. They have experienced constant DDOS attacks. Right now as I speak the website is down despite them stating that they have moved to a new provider due to other potential issues. I consider myself a patient person but I have grown frustrated with GGN that I've started using other resources from cs.rin.ru, FHMY and from the r/piracy megathread. The problem with these resources is that I find them all less trustworthy than GGN because everything is heavily moderated there. Torrents are reported immediately if something is sketchy but when you browse the wild west for games you never know exactly what you get.
I think this just shows how important it is to support other private trackers like PixelCove even thought here offering is a fraction of what GGNs is.

this was one of the 1st private trackers i was ever on wayyy back in idk 2006? they changed the site at one point and i never migrated to the new site and lost my account, i see it shut down in 2015 for good, is there something of the sort either private or public nowadays? im tired of these shitty rom sites and with myrient gone now, is minerva the closest thing?

| 13 | As you join more and more trackers and cross-seed across them all, can your torrent client handle all those torrent files?
Hello, I’m a recent cross-seed convert and I must say that it’s a great program. However, it occurs to me that one piece of content can generate as many torrent files as trackers you’re in of that type of content. So how many torrent files do you all have in your clients? Is there an upper limit to this? Obviously the vast majority of them sit idle. But if you’re playing the tracker game and you have 1000 MAM torrents, 3000 RED torrents, you cross seed 1000 to OPS, and for every one of your dozens of TV shows and hundreds of movies you try and cross seed to almost a dozen trackers, you can easily end up pushing 10,000+ torrent files. And that’s with a reasonable amount of storage space, some people have absurd 100 TB+ home servers that can fit thousands of movies and stuff. So what’s your experience with this?

| 15 | Question about uploading PDFs with thumbnails on MAM
I have a question regarding uploading PDF files to MAM. Is it okay to upload a PDF that contains a thumbnail, or could that cause any issues?
I’ve read the rules and FAQ thoroughly, but I couldn’t find anything specifically mentioning thumbnails in PDFs. I just wanted to ask if anyone has experience with this and knows whether it’s allowed.

| 18 | cross-seed help moving from seed-cross
Hi all - hope you can help.
I recently moved from seed-cross (wasn't working for a while) however the behaviour worked fine for my needs.
I am using transmission with the "classic" folder structure:
Data/Torrents, and within
movies-torrents
TV-torrents
Downloaded data is then grabbed by the \arrs and placed in a "clean" named folder:
Data/Media, and within
PlexMovies
PlexTV
So far, so good.
The download folders on Transmission have the files downloaded depending on the \type* of media they are, not from the *tracker*. I have 4 trackers configured, some of them do TV, some of them do Movies, some do both.
The previous behaviour from seed-cross was to match the torrent already existing, and add it to the client, pointing it to the same file, but as a separate .torrent file on the client. I verified that the file didn't take double the space, so I was happy with that. When tidying up transmission, I would simply delete either the seeding torrent deleted from the tracker (no file, if other trackers were still seeding it), or delete the torrent AND the file if it was nuked from every tracker or if it was the "last" copy present. I would then have to delete/upgrade the monitored file from the *arr.
Having installed cross-seed, it wants to download all the files to a separate folder per tracker, which means I could have
Tracker 1, with movies and TV
Tracker 2, with movies and TV (some the same, some not).
Folder where things added by the arrs download things, but not the downloads from cross-seed as they'll go to their own tracker folder.
I don't know if the \arrs will be able to figure this out at this point, but it looks like I'll end up with potentially 3+ separate locations where the files (and hardlinked files) will reside.
I have looked at the linkDirs option on the config
linkDirs: ["/data/torrents/complete/"],
The link type:
linkType: "hardlink",
and the flatlinking:
flatLinking: false,
But I'm not sure what configuration combination should be used to match what I am used to from seed-cross, or whether I should rejig my download folder structure.
Any advice will be appreciated!
