I was false banned from my RED interview.
I am not too mad, but I am 100% confident i didnt cheat. I dont know what happened, but it sucks a lot. I learned a lot and practiced for the test, so i am a little bit disappointed but it is what it is. I know its my word against theirs, but it still wanted to get it out here.

but because this sub is unmoderated, they never get approved.

It was good, had all the things needed. the UI ( & filters) was much better than torrentleech (TL is very good in quantity).
I am trying to use Seedpool and ULCX. it has the UI & filters but it's not the same as quality wise.
can't even thing of trying to get into PassThePopcorn (PTP). Don’t have energy.
I should have least taken screenshots of FNP uploads stats etc. to get into different trackers
BUT I don't want 10 different things, just one good one.

| 5 | Torrentleech torrents barely ever seeding, everything else is fine
For some reason, only torrentleech has very poor seeding performance. My fitgirl torrents sit at a comfortable 30MB/s 24/7, and I'm port forwarding through proton vpn with an unraid server.
It just sort of confuses me. I've seen people saying if my ports arent open then I won't be prioritised, and also that if I've not got a seed box then I wont be prioritised; is that it?

| 6 | New to MAM, looking for advice on getting into higher tier trackers for manga/anime
Hey everyone,
I recently got into private trackers and managed to join MyAnonamouse (MAM), which I’m really enjoying so far. I’m still pretty new to the whole private tracker scene though, and I’m trying to understand the best way to progress from here.
I’m interested in eventually getting into some of the more difficult trackers, especially:
ABTorrents
Animez
AnimeBytes
I know these communities usually value things like good ratio, account history, and being a good member, but I’m not really sure what the smartest route is as a beginner.
For anyone who has gone from a similar position (starting with MAM and working their way up), I’d really appreciate any advice on:
Which trackers I should focus on first
How long I should realistically spend building up my MAM account
What stats/history matter most when applying or getting invites
Any good intermediate trackers that helped you reach those communities
General etiquette or things I should avoid as a newbie
I’m not looking for shortcuts, just trying to learn how people have successfully made their way into these communities.
Any advice from people who have been through this would be massively appreciated. Thanks!
P.S. My end goal is to just join a tracker that is updated with all the latest manga and help contribute as well!

| 7 | The RED interview is much harder than it's made out to be.
WARNING: This is a long post.
I'm not even talking about the interview. For the past two and a half months I have been trying to be interviewed for RED, but that has been nearly impossible for several reasons:
\- To the people saying that it takes a few hours of waiting, they are wrong. It may have been true before, but that is no longer the case. Now it takes about 1 week of waiting (assuming PERFECT conditions), and sometimes entire days will go by without a single interview being conducted (and thus no change in queue).
\- Randomly, netsplits will happen. A netsplit is when the connection between two servers break, which causes Gatekeeper (the bot that manages the queueing positions) to get "disconnected". When this happens, Gatekeeper almost always forgets the queue positions, so everyone has to re-queue! If you aren't at your home on your computer within the hour, you will find yourself at a queue position of \~90-100, the end of the queue. These netsplits usually happen once every 1-3 days, but they can sometimes happen constantly. If you aren't extremely lucky or if you aren't always at your computer, these netsplits are devastating.
Since the two and a half months I've been waiting, I have had exactly 1 opportunity for an interview, unfortunately, I was asleep at the time and not be interviewed.
After realizing I had missed an opprtunity, I took it upon myself to research how the heck I was supposed to get an interview. I learned python, ssh, and tailscale, and read the RED faq to make sure I wasn't blatantly breaking any rules. Now, I have a pyautogui script that will automatically requeue (and do a speedtest) 3-5 minutes after a net split. I use an interview nofifier script I found on github to alert me when it will be time for me to be interviewed. Hopefully with these additions I will get an interview within the next few weeks before my college term starts. Thanks for reading.
If you are a RED admin, or if you have an impact on making RED decisions, please do not stop the RED interviews. I have a massive amount of respect for volunteers who work for free to interview us. I do not believe the interview is "elitest" and I truly believe that it is a great way of recruiting members who are smart and passionate about music. But if you do have the ability to create change, a way to stop net splits would be a huge help to the people who aren't always online.

| 11 | Do private trackers need you to have high bandwidth?
I've been using public trackers fine for now, but I want to start joining some private trackers since people say they have more available than public ones. However, I can't find anything on how the upload ratio rules actually work for most of them. I understand that I need to seed after I download (I've been doing this for all of the things I get), but I don't know whether the very slow upload speeds that I have will affect this. My speeds are 5Mbit/1Mbit and most torrents I seed take two weeks or more to get to a ratio of 1. The only ISP in my area doesn't offer much higher speeds for a reasonable price, so I am wondering whether my network just won't be adequate enough.
I know that I can just buy a seedbox (or more likely VPS for me), but I want to know if this is possible without that.

Does anyone else experience the tracker error "Connection reset by peer"?
It started happening on all Click trackers a few weeks ago. At first, I thought it was a qBittorrent issue related to the recent updates, but the problem still occurs even with the latest version.
I'm using qBittorrent bound to a Proton VPN (WireGuard) connection. Is anyone else seeing the same issue? I couldn't find any explanation or reports about it on the tracker forums.
