Well starlight, having all the characters be super powerful magicians sounds fun at first, however what if at some point we come across someone who can silence our Mementos or someone who is immune to Mementos as a whole — we'd be unable to face them. Not to mention all of us are different in our own special way — StarWolf is good with physical abilities while Cosmic likes to heal and take care of his friends — our personalities shape our soul and spirit and the Mementos helps manifest our soul into a power that we can use to help others. Just because you can't cast a giant meteor like SolarBlaze doesn't mean you aren't special, it means that you have a strength that is different from all of ours and you must turn that gift into a strength of your own.
I'm curious if the elements in Wolf of Dreams should be called "Magic" Powers or "Psychic" Powers.
The abilities that the characters use are from the energy/aether that comes from their body. These abilities were gifted from gods eons ago but were passed down to mortals.
I want to keep Magic but I also think Psychic abilities sounds more different.
After learning more about the Mother franchise, I'm very eager to make 2-3 of the party members in Wolf of Dreams not having any powers in the dream world, that way it's not like DBZ levels of extreme fights but rather Earthbound levels of fighting.
For example, Chameleon, being a tech savvy hermit, would be able to use gadgets against enemies such as rocket launchers and Magic absorbers.
Alligator Wrestler doesn't have powers but makes up for it with his high strength stats.
I'll probably make more characters non-mp users in the near future including some Dreamlings.
Mr. Love's original design ❤️ I think I'll stick with this look, more-so that I like that there's just this one button overall that is STRUGGLING to keep his big belly from bouncing around. ❤️

I do enjoy designing all the party members for the DREAM team, but I definitely gotta draw some antagonists for the WOD cast to face off against.
HOWEVER, these will be characters that are not presented UNTIL they are revealed in the comic, that way it's a surprise. :)

+1Gravity Gator is known for his famous signature move: The Belly Shield.
By concentrating his energy, he can expand his belly and create a powerful shield for his allies when in battle.

For a more offensive attack, he uses "Thigh High":
He spins rushing towards an opponent grabbing them, then launches up in the air with them, at the peak of the jump he grips the enemy between his crotch/thighs to secure a powerful lock and slams the enemy head first into the ground (warning, may cause enemy to smell a bit musky afterwards).
"Hey Babe...keep that camera rolling, I'm gonna show you why I'm the Champion."
